in fighting games are usually sleek, slender characters who can move quickly.
Gang-il is one beefy mofo... but he's short and stocky. An interesting body type
he has there... *cracks up*. I don't know what it is about him in gameplay, but
I get comic relief. And I don't think that was intended by SNK. Gang-Il has one
of the funniest walking animations I've ever seen in a fighting game. Get your
hand out of your pants you weirdo.
I thought Gang-il had some potential at first glance, but I was disappointed
with his fighting style. He's so similar to Kim, which makes sense for his
storyline I guess... but that's a wasted character slot in my opinion. He's just
another Kim... meh. Goes to show you that I'm not biased for all TaeKwonDo
characters (since I've been a TKD practitioner and teacher for 22+ years). Yeah,
Gang-il mostly bores me... as he severely lacks coolness, personality, and
originality. "Kim's Master" should've been a much cooler design. In
