Gordeau once worked in
the Amnesia together with
Hilda,
Chaos and the other members. Gordeau was a
great fighter and became soon known as one of the most powerful EXS users. But
one day their friend called Bob exceeded the limit of his power and turned
into a Void, and the Crimson Knight of the Licht Kreis ruthlessly killed him
off. After that incident, Gordeau left the Amnesia to pursue revenge for Bob's
sake. Ever since, he has participated in the Hollow Night in an attempt to
encounter the Crimson Knight and avenge his friend.

Gordeau is like a
mix of Johnny, Zasalamel
and Dante. Yeah, sounds cool on paper...
and naturally, he's one of the coolest and immediately-likeable characters in UNIEL. Gordeau
doesn't get all his coolness points on looks alone, his fighting style and animations are all
around badass. He's not exactly the type of design I'd expect from an
"anime" fighting game... and I mean that in the best way possible. Yeah, he's an edge-lord (I never use that word, but in this case it works)... and he's not too "over-dramatic" or overly-colorful like many other anime characters either.
As a 2D fighting game character, you've gotta love his giant scythe that reaches across the entire damn screen. A character who fights with a scythe doesn't automatically make them cool (although so many try to get away with it), but Gordeau's moveset speaks for itself. On a side note: He's got some badass alternate colors, doesn't he? Good job
on this character French Bread. Gordeau (along with many others) are reason enough to give Under Night In-Birth a try.
