SF X Tekken EVO Ruleset & Registration Info

SRK has announced the official SFXT ruleset for EVO 2012. The tournament this year will be exclusively set up for 2-on-2 teams (not Scramble Battle). This should make things interesting with team coordinated combos & tagging playing an integral role. Additionally, gems will NOT be used. Registration for EVO opens next week !

SF X Tekken - No Local Co-op Online for PC Version

Looks like the Playstation 3 version will be the only version of Street Fighter X Tekken that allows two local players to play online as a team. Capcom's Christian Svensson confirmed on Capcom Unity that the PC version will sadly have the same fate as the 360 version.

Producer Yoshinori Ono Hospitalized

Yesterday, the SFXT Blog reported that well known Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono was hospitalized after his physical condition began to deteriorate following a SFXT event in Asia. His current condition is unknown, but apparently he will not be able to work for a while. The Fighters Generation wishes Ono-san a speedy recovery!

TTT2: Unlimited AOU 2012 Trailer (English Version)

The English version of the Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Unlimited AOU 2012 trailer was just released by Namco Bandai. The new trailer clearly runs through the game's new gameplay features, and announces a Spring 2012 arcade release. TTT2: Unlimited will first hit Japanese arcades on March 27th, 2012.

Soul Calibur 5 - March 21st Patch Trailer

Namco Bandai announced today that Soul Calibur 5 will receive a worldwide "free title update" for PS3 & Xbox 360 on March 21st, 2012. Capcom Denies Ultimate MVC3X Rumor

Apparently, someone from Gamestop leaked this image, claiming that their computers have a new listing for "Ultimate MVC3X" with the headline: "Expand the ultimate experience. 8 new challengers join the fight!" Capcom has since denied the existence of this updated version of UMVC3, calling the image fake.

Today's new Dead or Alive 5 trailer confirms Kasumi and guest character from Virtua Fighter, Akira Yuki! Whether or not we'll see more characters from VF remains to be seen. Rumor: Darkstalkers 4 in Development

VentureBeat reported that an inside source has informed them that Capcom is already working on a new Darkstalkers game. The source is credible because it is the same one that confirmed RE6 (with accurate details) before its announcement. Apparently DS4 has been in development for a year, and will use similar graphics to SFXT.

These definitely aren't the most elaborate tutorials, but they at least offer a "preview" of what the characters can do in the game.

Darkstalkers 3 / Vampire Savior Coming to PSN

The ESRB website has posted their rating for the PSN version of Darkstalkers 3, which will be joining the original Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors as a playable title on PS3 & PS Vita. Rival Schools Hits Playstation Network in Japan

The PS1 version of Rival Schools was just released on PSN in Japan for 600 yen! True to the disc version, both the arcade port and the "Evolution Disc" featuring the character creation mode / date simulation are intact. SF X Tekken - 12 Additional Characters on PS Vita!

Capcom has announced that the Vita version of SFXT (coming in Fall 2012) will contain 12 additional characters (coinciding with the earlier leaked list). These new characters are: Elena, Guy, Cody, Dudley, Sakura, Blanka, Lars, Alisa, Christie, Jack, Bryan, and Lei! As expected, these fighters will also arrive on PS3/360 via "DLC".

TTT2: Unlimited was just revealed at AOU 2012. This update to TTT2 introduces several new gameplay options. Instead of having to pick 2 characters, Unlimited gives you the option of using just one character, allowing for 2 VS. 2, 2 VS. 1, and 1 VS. 1 battles! Street Fighter's Ryu Appears in Asura's Wrath

AndriaSang has reported that Ryu from Street Fighter will appear in the upcoming Capcom action game, Asura's Wrath. Unless this is some kind of early April Fool's joke, this is actually DLC content that Capcom has planned for Asura's Wrath... stay tuned for more details. Ohh, and if you haven't tried the demo, I do recommend it.

This new trailer for Mortal Kombat 9 on the PS Vita shows off some of the game's features and mini games. Although the feature isn't confirmed yet, this trailer suggests MK9 will be the first fighting game to utilize the PS Vita's "augmented reality" (and no, that Reality Fighters game sure as hell doesn't count).

Dhim, known for perverse yet hilarious animation shorts about fighting game characters and nut shots, has uploaded 2 videos exposing the comical angle of Pyrrha's A+G (knee to the groin) throw, which causes male opponents to fall forward and female characters to fall backward, respectively. NintendoLife has reported that Soul Calibur V appeared on a Nintendo 3DS "coming soon" list on an unnamed retail chain. Dead or Alive 5 Demo Details & Screenshots

The latest details & screenshots for the upcoming DOA5 demo packaged inside Ninja Gaiden 3 have been unveiled. Ninja Gaiden 3 will arrive in North America on March 20th. An Android version of SFIV was announced at CES 2012. This mini iteration of SFIV will be playable on any droid phone, and will feature 3D graphics, touch screen controls, and Wi-Fi support. Aksys Games announced a limited edition package for Blazblue: Continuum Shift Extend, which includes: a 40-page artbook, 17-song soundtrack, and 2012 calendar. SCV - Gameplay & Early Impressions from Gamespot

Gamespot posted a 22-minute video dedicated to SC5. You'll see some quality HD gameplay footage, and hear the Gamespot staff's early impressions of SCV's new gameplay mechanics (some of which I happen to agree with). Soul Calibur V - Direct Feed Gameplay from IGN

IGN uploaded 2 direct feed gameplay videos of SC5. The quality in the videos is excellent, but unfortunately, the game is being played against the CPU by a pretty shameless button masher. However, even when being played by someone who does nothing but mash attack buttons, the game still looks awesome!

Namco Bandai released these 48 screenshots of Soul Calibur 5 in celebration of the game going gold. This set of screenshots shows how Algol & Edge Master look in the game, in addition to a variety of Creation Mode characters (including Katsuhiro Harada). Lastly, alternate "versions" of Cervantes & Nightmare are also shown!

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Item Moves Showcase

Akingttt uploaded a new video highlighting some of the new special item moves in TTT2! If you're familiar with Tekken 6's item moves, you'd know that these moves tend to be hilarious, yet don't effect the gameplay very much. The item moves of TTT2 are definitely a step above the former ones in terms of hilarity and craziness!
