Team Ninja & Sega Discuss DOA/VF Crossover

10 New DOA5 Screenshots, Character Renders

Check out 10 new HD screenshots of Dead or Alive 5 featuring recently revealed new fighter, Rig. The screenshots also show off a new stage and reveal an alternate outfit for Christie. Lastly, character renders for Rig and Bass Armstrong have been revealed.

Dead or Alive 5 - Rig Debut Trailer

Here's a brand new trailer for Rig, the first new character in Dead or Alive 5! Rig is a Canadian Tae Kwon Do fighter, and seems to have some sort of relationship with Christie and Bass (who also appear in this trailer).

DOA5 - Famitsu Reveals New Character, Rig

When the DOA5 roster was leaked earlier this year, "Rig" was one of the unfamiliar character names listed. The latest issue of Famitsu confirms that Rig is indeed a new character. All we have at the moment is this single magazine scan, but we'll most likely see some higher quality material in the next few days. So stay tuned!

Preview of Persona 4 Arena's Paid DLC Content

Some of the paid DLC content that will be available for Persona 4 Arena has been revealed. This image shows a few special DLC color variations, as well as custom eyeglasses you can add to your fighter (which appear on the character sprite and cut-in animation). Other DLC options include extra menu voiceovers and round announcers.

Harada Responds to Complaints About Voice Actors

Producer of the Tekken series, Katsuhiro Harada, recently made a statement addressing some recent complaints from fans (on Twitter) to "bring back old voice actors" to the Tekken series. In the statement, Harada-san explains why old voices aren't used in this day & age, and why certain things must change.

GGXX: Accent Core Plus Arcade Stick Preview

Here's a look at EXAR's upcoming Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus arcade stick, made especially to coincide with the PSN/XBL release of the game. Namco Bandai Developing Next Smash Bros.

It's been confirmed that Namco Bandai is developing the new Smash Bros. title for the Wii U & 3DS. This is a joint project lead by series creator Masahiro Sakurai and Namco. DOA5 - Team Ninja Has "No Plans" for DLC Characters

In a recent interview with Videogamer.com, DOA5's Yosuke Hayashi has declared that Team Ninja has no plans to sell DLC characters for the game. He goes on to discuss why he feels DLC content makes the game "unfair" for players, and talks a little bit about balancing DOA5.

Seth Killian Announces His Departure from Capcom

Veteran member of the fighting game community and Community Manager at Capcom announced today on Capcom Unity that he's parting ways with Capcom. He doesn't go into detail about his departure, but he does talk about his history with the Street Fighter series and his role in the Street Fighter 4 project.

Soul Calibur 5 - Cepheus DLC Pack #6 Review

Volume 6 of Soul Calibur V's Cepheus customization DLC was released today, and Bloodburger1 uploaded his video review of the new update. Cepheus DLC Pack #6 includes the Bridal Costume Set and the Music Concert Costume Set. If you're not sure whether or not to pick these up, you'll definitely want to check out the review.

P4A North American Box Art, New Screenshots

Today, Atlus revealed the North American covers for the Playstation 3 & Xbox 360 versions of Persona 4 Arena. The North American cover art is practically identical to the Japanese cover art, minus the alternate logo. Additionally, 7 new screenshots of the game's arcade mode were released.

UDON Announces MVC: Official Complete Works

UDON Comics just announced their latest artbook, Marvel VS Capcom: Official Complete Works. This 200-page artbook contains artwork from virtually every installment of Capcom's Marvel VS series. A limited hardcover version will be available on July 11th at Comic-Con, and a soft cover version will be available this November.

SF X Tekken - Corrective Patch Released, IOS Version

Today brings 2 news updates about SF X Tekken. First, the corrective patch that addresses the Rolento knife/fireball glitch was released today for PS3 & 360. Secondly, an iOS version of SF X Tekken has been confirmed by Capcom. Andriasang.com reported this version will feature new play styles and posted a few screens.

Street Fighter Cameos in Upcoming Disney Movie

Disney's upcoming animated film, Wreck-It Ralph, follows an 8-bit video game villain who wants to change his image. The first trailer confirms fighting game icons Zangief, M. Tecmo Koei has revealed details about the DOA5 collectors edition. The premium edition will retail for 11,340 yen (about $140). The official Capcom blog has announced that the next SFXT DLC will arrive on June 5th. DOA5 - Famitsu Confirms Lei Fang & New Stage

Even though Dead or Alive 5's roster may have already been leaked via the demo disc back in March 2012, the latest issue of Famitsu has officially confirmed the inclusion of Lei Fang in DOA5. The magazine scans also reveal a new stage called "The Show," which appears to be set in a circus or amusement park.

Project X Zone - Chun-li, Morrigan & Q-Bee Confirmed

The latest batch of Project X Zone screenshots confirm 3 new fighting game characters for this upcoming crossover RPG: Chun-Li, Morrigan and Q-Bee! Asura's Wrath "Akuma VS Asura" DLC Out Now

Today, Capcom released the second "Street Fighter DLC" for Asura's Wrath. "Lost Episodes 2: The Strongest VS The Angriest" is now available on PS3/360 for $1.99, and includes two epic battles between Asura and Akuma (and his Oni form)! Pretty epic stuff! The official Capcom blog was updated recently with a lengthy Q&A session featuring current Street Fighter X Tekken project leader, Tomoaki Ayano. Japanese SF X Tekken players made their voices heard in this long list of questions, and producer Ayano gave some interesting responses regarding a variety of topics.

Hori Releasing Official Persona 4 Arena Stick

Hori will be releasing an official Persona 4 Arena arcade stick to coincide with the Japanese console version's release. A listing on Amazon Japan confirms that the stick will be released on August 2nd (along with the game), and will be priced at 10,800 yen (about $135). So far, only PS3 version of the stick has been listed.

SC5 - Cepheus Compatibility Pack 3 Now Available

The latest Soul Calibur 5 customization DLC has hit PSN & XBL. Cepheus Compatibility Pack #3 includes several new DLC packs such as Pac-Man & Klonoa key chains, an interesting variety of headgears, samurai armor, and even a very random firefighter get-up. Each of these DLC packs range from $1 to $2.

Asura's Wrath "Ryu VS Asura" DLC Out Now

Capcom has released the first "Street Fighter DLC" for their hit action game, Asura's Wrath. "Lost Episodes 1: At Last, Someone Angrier Than Me" is now available on PS3/360 for $1.99, and includes two epic battles between Asura and Ryu. Skullgirls - Possible PC/PS3 Cross Platform Play

A recent tweet on the official Skullgirls twitter has confirmed that Reverge Labs is hoping to implement cross platform play between the PC & PS3 versions of the game. If they manage to pull this off, Skullgirls will be the first fighting game with this feature!

KOF XIII - IOS Version Updated with Trading Cards

King of Fighters-i 2012 was updated with over 50 trading cards, which display character sprites and some new "chibi style" artwork. KOF-i 2012 Now Mirrors KOF XIII's Roster

The iPhone/iPad port of KOF XIII (KOF-i 2012) has added Athena, Leona, and Robert, bringing the total number of fighters up to 32. Additionally, NEST Style Kyo & "classic" Iori are now available as downloadable content. Wi-Fi play was also added, which features Ranked Match online and Friend Versus mode.

Skullgirls - PC Version Confirmed

Autumn Games co-founder Jason Donnel confirmed that a PC version of Skullgirls is currently in development. This was recently revealed in a recent interview with Eurogamer. The official press release also confirms that Skullgirls will become available on Steam and Gamefluy, in addition to some new features!

Mortal Kombat Released Today for PS Vita

Mortal Kombat 9 has been released for Playstation Vita today both as a retail and downloadable title. The game packs all of the PS3 version's features & bonus/DLC characters, a new Challenge Tower with 150 challenges, mini games, and even a few balance tweaks. The online mode is also incredibly smooth (better than console).

Mortal Kombat PS Vita - Ed Boon Interview 

The Electric Playground recently posted a new interview with MK producer Ed Boon. In the interview, Boon talks about some of the features appearing in the upcoming Vita version of MK9, and even calls it the "most feature rich Mortal Kombat ever made". Tekken Tag 2 Character Story Movies

Today on Twitter, Harada-san was asked about a story mode for Tekken Tag Tournament 2. He replied that each character in the game will have a "1-min 30 second to 2-min 30 second story movie"! This is actually a surprise, since the first TTT didn't have any real story element. Here's hoping for some badass Namco CGI movies!

New Tekken TV Show in South Korea

Similar to Tekken Crash, a new TV show will debut in South Korea dubbed Tekken Busters. Top Korean players will compete in TTT2 for the 1st place prize of 7 million won (about $6,100). TTT2 Netcode to Use Modified Version of SCV's

In a recent interview with videogamer.com, Katsuhiro Harada gave some additional details on how the netcode will be handled in the console version of TTT2. He reveals that TTT2's online mode will use a modified version of Soul Calibur V's netcode, and supports 3 to 5  times as much data as Street Fighter IV's netcode.

SF X Tekken - Tournament Patch Now on PSN

The latest patch for SF X Tekken brings the game up to Version 1.02, and is now live on Playstation Network. This update fixes the online sound issues, and adds the tournament friendly "Easy Gem Select" system to the game. The patch should hit Xbox Live later today.

SF X Tekken - Tournament Support & Online Sound Fix

Capcom-Unity announced that the next SF X Tekken patch will arrive on Tuesday, April 10th. This patch will add the new "tournament friendly" gem select system, as well as an "online sound update" which will improve the sound quality when playing online (hopefully this will fix that annoying bug!).

The first "monthly" Customization Parts DLC that was announced in the March 21st patch trailer was released on PSN & XBL today. The Cepheus Compatibility pack 1 is free to download, and there are 4 individual DLC packs: Classic Headgears 1, Character Equipment 1, Maid Costumes 1 & Active Wear 1. These are $2 to $3 each.

First SF X Tekken Alternate Costumes DLC Out Today

The first set of Street Fighter X Tekken alternate "swap" costumes have been released today on PSN & XBL. The costumes are priced at $1 (80 MS Points) each or $13 (1040 MSP) for all SF or all Tekken character costumes. Capcom also released 3 free color palette customization packs and 3 new quick combo slots for each fighter.

Evolution 2012 Registration Now Open

Player Registration for Evolution 2012 is now open. Note that if you register before May 1st you'll save $20.
