King of Fighters XIV Team South America Trailer

Atlus and Playstation just released the newest King of Fighters XIV team trailer. Today, it's Team South America's turn to shine, with Nelson, Bandeiras Hattori and Zarina demonstrating their unique fighting styles. While we've seen some of Nelson's and Bandeiras' moves in past trailers, this is the first time seeing Zarina's acrobatic Capoiera-based fighting style in action.

How to Download / Preload the Street Fighter V Update on Your Playstation 4 Right Now!

Street Fighter V's Cinematic Story update has been available for download since yesterday (only on PS4), but it may not be the easiest thing to find... until now! Here's exactly how to download / preload the update so it's ready for you July 1st at midnight. Enter the Playstation Store. Go to "Add-Ons". Select "New". Scroll all the way to the right and select "More". You should see the 8.1 GB file as the second selection. You're welcome!

Street Fighter V "A Shadow Falls" Cinematic Story Mode Release Trailer

This morning, Capcom released a new trailer for Street Fighter V's cinematic story expansion, "A Shadow Falls". The trailer provides a look at Urien & Juri in the story, and a few of Bison's Dolls make their in-game debut! In addition to the new story mode, SFV's free July 1st update will add playable characters Balrog & Ibuki, Extra Battle, new stages, stage transitions, new costumes & more!

Street Fighter V Balrog & Ibuki Costume Concept Art & Profile Cards

To continue the hype for Balrog's release in Street Fighter V this Friday, Capcom revealed some brand new SFV concept artwork for Balrog, showing the prize fighter in a variety of costumes. Gameplay & Bio of Under Night In-Birth: Late[st]'s Newest Character, Mika Returna

The Japanese arcade version of Under Night In-Birth LATE[st] recently added a new playable fighter, Mika. Mika Returna is a small, cheerful girl who fights with huge gauntlets. Her storyline states that she is a member of Licht Kries and part of Orie's execution team. Check out some gameplay footage of Mika, along with her character artwork, concept art and full bio.

Sprites For The Cancelled Garou: Mark of The Wolves Sequel Revealed by SNK

A sequel to SNK's cult classic, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, was in development in the early/mid 2000's. Sadly, the project was cancelled. In a recent interview with 4Gamer, the KOF XIV development team revealed an image containing the long-lost sprites from the cancelled Garou sequel. The interview seems to contain details regarding Garou 2, but has yet to be translated. (We'll keep you updated.)

Xavier Woods & Kenny Omega Crash CEO 2016

If you haven't heard by now, this past weekend's CEO '16 went down in history as one of the most exciting fighting game events to date. One of the highlights was the appearances of WWE Superstar Xavier Woods and NJPW Champion Kenny Omega. As previously reported on TFG, both pro-wrestlers are avid fighting game fans. At CEO, the two squared off in a Street Fighter V exhibition and even a DDR battle.

SFV Balrog Trailer, Screens & V-Trigger Details, Juri & Urien Artwork + New Beach Stage

CEO '16 went out with a bang, with Capcom showing Balrog's SFV trailer (teasing Juri & Urien at the end). In addition to the return of Balrog's SF2 Las Vegas stage, Capcom revealed a brand new stage: Kanzuki Family Private Beach (complete with Rival Schools cameos)! The massive SFV update which will add Balrog, Ibuki, Story mode & much more, is set to arrive on July 1st at midnight. Full details & visual content ahead!

King of Fighters XIV Team Official Invitation Trailer

Atlus released a new trailer for King of Fighters XIV today, showcasing Team Official Invitation which is made up of Kukri, Sylvie and Mian. According to the storyline, these fighters were invited to the KOF XIV tournament by the billionaire and final boss, Antonov. The trailer demonstrates Mian in gameplay for the first time, along with providing a closer look at Kukri and Sylvie.

Street Fighter V June Update Will Include All Character Battle Costumes + 3 Stage Variations 

Along with the cinematic story mode and Ibuki, Street Fighter V's June update will bring additional content to breathe new life into the game. Battle Costumes for all fighters will become available for purchase via the Playstation Store and Steam next week, when the update arrives. Three new stage variations will also be available. Tekken 7 - Tokido's Akuma Takes on Nobi's Dragunov on New "Mishima Building" Stage

One of the new stages appearing in the E3 '16 TEKKEN 7 trailer (only for a few seconds) is called the "Mishima Building". The stage evolves from an ascending elevator to a rooftop area. Check out the first full match on the Mishima Building featuring pro Street Fighter player, Tokido (Akuma), squaring off against TEKKEN champion, Nobi (Dragunov).

The King of Fighters XIV E3 '16 Trailer + Team Villains Trailer

AtlusUSA recently released two new King of Fighters XIV trailers. The E3 '16 trailer runs just over a minute long and shows the first footage of KOF XIV's boss, Antanov. Next, the Team Villains trailer highlights the team of Chain Koehan, Choi Bounge and newcomer, Xanadu. Along with showing Xanadu in action for the first time ever, the Villains trailer also previews the brand new "prison" stage.

King of Fighters XIV "KOF Station" Provides Dev Team Commentary + 1 Hour of Gameplay

AtlusUSA uploaded a content-filled 1-hour video all about The King of Fighters XIV. Appearing in the video for commentary is the KOF XIV producer himself, Yasuyuki Oda, along with game designer Watanabe, art director Nobuyuki Kuroki, sound director Asanaka, and even some of the game's voice actors. The best part is... all the commentary has English subtitles!

General Raam Now Available in Killer Instinct Season 3, Reveal Trailer, Colors & Customizations

E3 Tekken 7 Trailer Confirms Early 2017 Release on Playstation 4, Xbox One & Steam

The E3 TEKKEN 7 trailer was shown at Xbox's press conference this afternoon, confirming an "early 2017" release window for Xbox One, PS4 and Steam! The trailer provides a preview of TEKKEN 7's story mode, where the cinematics and gameplay will seamlessly mesh together. Kazuya/Heihachi Mishima Display Confirms Tekken 7 at E3

Good news TEKKEN community... Photos of a rather badass-looking TEKKEN 7 advertisement featuring Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima has been spotted at E3 '16 early! Another photo captured a work-in-progress TEKKEN 7 display featuring a meditating statue. Note that this advertisement is for "TEKKEN 7" (not T7:FR), which is a strong indication that a console version will be announced at E3. Stay tuned for the big announcement!

Street Fighter V Extra Battle Screenshots Show Alternate Stages & New Stage Transitions

Some new SFV screenshots of the upcoming "Extra Battle" mode have surfaced (via Dengeki Online). Besides Shadaloo henchman jumping into battles, it appears alternate versions of stages will be featured in the mode (and hopefully added to VS mode, as well). In addition, one screenshot shows a new area of the City in Chaos stage, confirming a new stage transition is coming to the game (finally). Injustice 2 Officially Announced For PS4 & Xbox One in 2017, Teaser Trailer

Well that didn't take long... Injustice 2 has been officially announced for Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and will arrive sometime in 2017. WBGames and NetherRealm also released a teaser trailer, featuring Batman, The Flash, Superman, and Supergirl. Injustice 2 will feature "RPG-like" elements enabling players to "gear up" their characters and differentiate them from others both in looks and playstyle.

Injustice 2 Poster Leak Practically Confirms E3 Appearance

A leaked Injustice 2 promotional poster featuring Batman and The Flash made its rounds across the web. Sources from Eurogamer and Polygon "confirm" the leak is legit, and say Injustice 2 will be announced soon, possibly before next week's E3. Ed Boon even tweeted about the leak, joking that Gamestop isn't invited to his future parties. Apparently, Gamestop stores will be offering the poster as a pre-order bonus. Capcom Addresses SFV Ibuki Delay, Rage Quitting, Input Lag & Wants to Improve Communication

The latest DLC character for Street Fighter V, Ibuki, was originally scheduled to be released the last week of May. Capcom Unity's latest blog acts as an apology for Ibuki's delay, and also addresses some other issues surrounding SFV such as rage quitting and input delay. Capcom also stated that they plan to "improve their communication" with the community regarding SFV updates.

Blazblue: Central Fiction Coming to North America on PS4/PS3 This Winter

PS.Blog announced today that Arc System Works is bringing Blazblue: Central Fiction to North America on PS4 & PS3 this Winter. The console version will feature 33 characters (including 5 newcomers) along with new modes such as: Alliance Mode, Speed Star Mode and Item Shop. An underrated classic, Street Fighter EX was the first 3D installment in the series. Praised for its unique characters, amazing music and solid gameplay, Arika's SFEX series is certainly memorable and an integral part of Street Fighter history. An interesting video recently surfaced on Youtube, showing an early developmental version of SFEX. This unfinished version even features unique "remixed" BGMs not found in the final game.

Marvel VS Capcom 4 Fan Petition is Live

As you may have heard, Disney announced that they are stepping away from game publishing, but will now be licensing out their properties to other game creators. With Disney holding the rights to Marvel characters, fans of the MVC series have already thought ahead towards the "possibility" of a future sequel and created a petition for MVC4. (Sign it!) The petition will be sent to Disney, Marvel, Capcom, Sony & Microsoft.

The King of Fighters XIV Japan Team Trailer

SNK uploaded the first official "team trailer" for The King of Fighters XIV. Team Japan is up first, with Kyo Kusanagi, Benimaru Nikaido and Goro Daimon getting the spotlight. The trailer runs about one and a half minutes long, and shows Goro Daimon in KOF XIV gameplay for the first time ever.

Street Fighter V Concept Artwork For Guile's Boss, R. Mika's Wrestling Comrades & Shadaloo Cyborg

Capcom's CFN Portal has posted the latest batch of SFV concept artwork, providing a closer look at some lesser known characters in the Street Fighter universe. Included are wrestlers from the Iwashi Ga Hama Japan Women's pro-wrestling division, along with Guile's boss (Byron Taylor) and a Shadaloo cyborg.

The King of Fighters 2000 Coming to PS4 May 3rd

The Last Blade 2 isn't the only SNK fighting game coming to Playstation 4 this month. The King of Fighters 2000 will become available through PSN in North America next Tuesday (May 3rd) as a "PS2 Classic". The release includes Trophy Support and costs $9.99. KOF 2000 was arguably best known for its Active Striker system, granting players a 4th team member who can perform an assist attack at any time.

Mysterious NeoGeo Fighting Game Discovered is No Longer a Mystery, Game's Creator Found

A few weeks back, you might've heard some folks talking about an unknown, unfinished fighting game that was discovered on an old Neo Geo test board. Well, it didn't take long for the creator of that game to be found, and now we have some solid facts about this mystery fighter. The game was going to be called "Dragon's Heaven" and was created by Kengo Asai (Last Blade, Voltage Fighter Gowcaiser).

16 Minutes of King of Fighters XIV Gameplay From SNK Press Conference in Japan

While we've seen plenty of KOF XIV trailers the past few months, there hasn't been a whole lot of high quality "raw" gameplay footage available... but that's about to change. Today, SNK held a KOF XIV press conference event at Esports Square in Akihabara, Tokyo featuring the most recent playable build. Orochinagi posted a 16-minute gameplay video along with the latest KOF XIV details.

Guile Joins Street Fighter V on April 28th

Capcom announced that Guile, the newest DLC fighter for Street Fighter V, will make his debut on April 28th (7pm PST/10pm EST) in North America. SNK Playmore Changes Company Name Back to "SNK" With Classic Slogan, "The Future is Now"

There are very few game company slogans as immediately recognizable as SNK's "The Future is Now", which became iconic in 1990's arcades. Back in 2001, SNK was taken over by Playmore, only to change to "SNK Playmore" 2 years later. Now in 2016, SNKP's official twitter just announced that the company name will come full circle, returning simply to "SNK" and restoring "The Future is Now" as its official slogan! Full Length King of Fighters XIV Trailer Reveals 15 New Characters, Release Date & More

After releasing 12 "teaser" trailers since Sept. 2015, SNK has finally released a full length trailer for The King of Fighters XIV. This isn't some "compilation" trailer either... it actually reveals the full 50-character select screen, offering a look at all the teams! The trailer also shows off new stages & new modes, and confirms the official release date! KOF 14 hits PS4 in North America on Aug. 23, 2016.

Killer Instinct Season 3 - Mira Official Trailer

Killer Instinct Season 3's latest newcomer, the female vampire known as Mira, now has an official trailer. The new trailer provides a close look at Mira and some of her in-game abilities. She also declares Maya as her sister in the trailer. Mira will become available in Killer Instinct Season 3 sometime this month.

Harada Says New Tekken 7: Fated Retribution Content is Coming in The Next Update

Bandai Namco Entertainment America uploaded a video interview featuring TEKKEN producer Katsuhiro Harada and designer Michael Murray. Harada begins by mentioning TEKKEN 7: FR's positive feedback from Final Round 19, and reminds everyone that the title is still a work in progress. He elaborates that new Rage Arts, new characters, and other new content will be added to the game in the next update.

9-Minute GGXrd -REVELATOR- Trailer Shows off PS4/PS3 Version Modes & Characters

Today, Arc System Works uploaded a brand new Japanese trailer for the upcoming PS4/PS3 versions of Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-. The trailer clocks in at 9 minutes long and runs through some of the game's exclusive console version modes, such as: Tutorial, Story, M.O.M., and new Online Battle Lobbies. GGXrd -REVELATOR- hits North America on June 7th and Europe on June 10th.

Melty Blood: AACC Now Available on Steam

Originally released in 2002, Melty Blood is a Doujin 2D fighter developed by Type-Moon and French-Bread. The third update to the title, Actress Again, was released in Japan in 2008 on Sega Naomi hardware and PS2. Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code is an arcade port of the PS2 version, and finally sees an official North American release through Steam, today! 12th KOF XIV Teaser Trailer Confirms Mai Shiranui & Newcomer Ninja, Banderas Hattori

It's Thursday again and you know what that means... a new King of Fighters XIV teaser trailer is live! This time, KOF veteran kunoichi Mai Shiranui returns and is confronted by Banderas Hattori, a ninja himself, who wants Mai to be his teacher. Mai refers to him as a "fake ninja" in the trailer and doesn't seem too impressed. On a side note, Banderas appears to have a few special moves based on Samurai Shodown ninjas.

Blazblue: Central Fiction Announced For PS4/PS3, Adds New Character "Es" From Xblaze

Arc System Works has officially announced Blazblue: Central Fiction for PS4 and PS3. The arcade roster will be joined by a new character for the console version, Es from Xblaze. This makes 5 new characters total for the new installment. Famitsu magazine also revealed the first screenshots of Central Fiction on console, featuring the new girl (Es), plus images of the console version main menu & story mode.

These Amazing Fan-Made Street Fighter V "Enhanced" Screenshots... Are Amazing.

Street Fighter V is a great looking game by itself... but with a little "help" from artist Duncan Harris, these enhanced SFV screenshots can simply be defined as works of art. Duncan used the best possible resolution with top-notch rendering & anti-aliasing, blended with the perfect camera angles, to capture some truly spectacular in-game SFV screenshots. DOA5: Last Round Core Fighters Hits 6 Million Downloads, 26 Characters Currently F2P

Koei Tecmo announced that the free-to-play version of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round just reached 6 million downloads across PS4, PS3 and XB1. To celebrate, they are making 26 out of the game's 35 characters free-to-play until April 11th (12:00 JST). Included on the F2P list are some of the most recent DLC fighters, including: Honoka, Raidou, Phase 4 & Nyotengu. Naotora Ii is still locked unless you purchase her.  (Source: DOA5LR Official)

11th KOF XIV Teaser Trailer Reveals Mui Mui & Kukri

It's another Thursday and another new KOF XIV trailer for fans to analyze. Just under a minute long, the new trailer confirms 2 newcomers: Mui Mui and Kukri. Mui Mui is a kung-fu expert who is originally from SNK's pachinko title, Dragon Gal. She is the last successor to the dragon clan, and loves to eat (maybe she's related to Li Xiangfei). Secondly, Kukri is a mysterious hooded fighter whose power is controlling sand.

New King of Fighters XIV Screenshot Confirms The Return of "Special Intros" Between Fighters

SNK Playmore has been randomly releasing new KOF XIV screenshots each week via Twitter. One of the latest screenshots shows a classic pre-fight interaction between Geese Howard and his faithful henchman, Billy Kane. This confirms the return of "special intro" animations which will occur between specific fighters before each match. Hopefully SNK will include many more of these in KOF 14!

Killer Instinct's Shadow Jago is Now a Permanently Available DLC Character

Iron Galaxy announced today that Shadow Jago has become a "permanently available" DLC character in Killer Instinct Season 3. Previously, players could only obtain Shadow Jago during during special promotional periods. But now, anyone can add Shadow Jago (or Shago) to the roster, for the price of $9.99. Major Capcom Fighting Game Designer Now Working For SNK Playmore

It's been confirmed that designer & producer Hidetoshi Ishizawa (Neo_G) has departed from Capcom to work for SNK Playmore. Ishizawa's decorated resume lists a ton of iconic fighting games, including: MVC2, MVC3, CVS2, SF3 series, SFA2 & Darkstalkers. With SNK Playmore planning on reviving other classic franchises after KOF14, it would appear Ishizawa wants to continue his work in the genre. Definitely good news for SNK fans! Capcom Unveils a Plethora of Street Fighter V Concept Art Featuring Classic Fighters

Capcom recently unveiled 41 concept artworks of characters from the Street Fighter universe, most of whom currently don't appear in SFV. These include classics from SF1: Eagle, Retsu, Geki, Lee, Mike & Joe; SFA: Rose, Gen & Sodom; and others who haven't yet been playable in a Street Fighter game: Haggar, Delta Red, Go Hibiki; and even the SF2 intro guys: Scott & Max. Heihachi Mishima Just Got a New Default Costume in TEKKEN 7: Fated Retribution

Looks like there was some truth to Capcom/Namco's April Fools page from yesterday (now offline). An image of a new costume for Heihachi Mishima was teased on that very page, and now we have confirmation that Heihachi will indeed have badass new (default) attire in TEKKEN 7: Fated Retribution. TEKKEN 7 North American Tour Continues This Weekend, Full Locations & Dates

As the long wait for the console version of TEKKEN 7 continues, the good news is that the game will be appearing in playable form at many locations across North America. The official 2016 TEKKEN 7 tour continues this weekend at Wizard World St. Louis. Other stops include major FGC events: CEO, Combo Breaker, Summer Jam X, SCR and EVO. Guilty Gear 2: Overture Now Available on Steam

Guilty Gear 2: Overture was an obscure "action / real time strategy" spin-off title made by Arc System Works exclusively for Xbox 360 back in 2007. The story is set 5 years after the first Guilty Gear fighting game. GGXrd's Sin Kiske also made his first appearance in the title. Out of the blue, GG2: Overture is now available on Steam for $11.99. Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- PS4 Demo Now Available in Japan, Supports Legacy Controllers

The pre-order demo of Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- will be launched worldwide April 5th, but is available right now in Japan. It's also been confirmed that the PS4 version of REVELATOR is backwards compatible with PS3 fightsticks & pads. Thanks to Lab Zero's driver, REVELATOR's legacy controller support is as simple as plug-and-play (a constant Dualshock 4 connection isn't even required).

It appears Capcom and Namco are having a bit of fun this April Fools day. A new page on Capcom's site, called "CASH.COM", appears to be selling some interesting Street Fighter and TEKKEN merchandise. Some links actually redirect to TEKKEN Official, as Namco had a part in this as well. One item hints at a new costume for Heihachi in TEKKEN 7, while others are random items from series lore. The site is currently only in Japanese, but still funny... especially some of those ads.

Yoshinori Ono & Snake Eyes Appear on Playstation's "Makers and Gamers: Street Fighter"

Playstation uploaded a 15-minute mini-documentary on Youtube, featuring Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono and professional Street Fighter player, Darryl "Snake Eyez" Lewis. After recapping the career of Snake Eyez, the video explores the concept of how a fighting game evolves into something different after it's released and under the control of a competitive player.
