Street Fighter EX Developer Arika Bringing Playable Fighting Title to EVO 2017

Back in April 2017, Street Fighter EX series developer, Arika, cleverly used April Fools Day to unveil a new fighting game title they're working on called EX Fighting Layer (working title). The original build featured 3 playable SFEX characters: Kairi, Hokuyo & Garuda. Arika announced today that they will have a booth set up at EVO 2017, and are bringing a playable version of their work-in-progress fighter for attendees to try out! EVO '17 takes place July 14-16 in Las Vegas.  (Source: Shoryuken)

Amazing Detail and Manga References Arc System Works Put Into Dragon Ball FighterZ

For a title like Dragon Ball FighterZ, references and throwbacks to the original manga/anime are to be expected. However, Arc System Works is going above and beyond with each character's in-game animations and attacks, which closely resemble specific artwork from the original manga. Youtuber "IKevinX" put together several excellent videos that show off the amazing attention to detail and references Arc System Works has packed into DBFZ.

Gamespot Interviews MVC Infinite Devs on Preserving Depth, Picking Characters & Fixing Chun-Li's Face

Before MVC Infinite was shown at E3 '17, Gamespot talked to MVC: Infinite producer Michael Evans and Associate Producer Peter Rosas. The interview covers a broad range of important subjects, including character roster choices and preserving gameplay complexity. The MVCI devs were even asked about the negative response towards Chun-Li's face in the E3 trailer. When the devs were asked about missing X-Men characters like Magneto and Sentinal, they gave some surprising answers...

New School Costumes Coming to SFV June 27th

Capcom announced some new additions to the "School" themed character costumes in Street Fighter V. Joining Ryu, Chun-Li, and Juri Han... on June 27th, Charlie Nash, R. Mika and Ibuki will be getting their own school uniforms. Each costume will be available for $3.99 each. Classic NeoGeo Titles Come to Playstation 4 Including Last Blade & World Heroes 2 + PSN Double Discounts

A variety of classic NeoGeo titles have recently come to PS4 via Playstation Network. On the fighting side, the ongoing "ACA NeoGeo series" adds the original Last Blade and World Heroes 2. These ports include Remote Play (PS Vita) and Trophies. ACA also recently added Sengoku 2, Magical Drop 2, and various Metal Slug titles. PSN is offering a "Double Discount" until 6/27 which includes several NeoGeo games. First Gameplay of Blade Strangers, a 2D Fighter with Characters From Code of Princess & Cave Story

Japanese developer Saizensen is working on a new 2D fighting game called Blade Strangers. This anime-style 2D fighter features characters from Cody of Princess, Cave Story and Umihara Kawase. So far the game has 10 playable fighters and the characters are made with 3D models but meant to look 2D. Special moves are done with "easy inputs," making the game very accessible to beginners. Check out the first gameplay footage of Blade Strangers. The game is planned for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam in Q4 2017.

Injustice 2 Sub-Zero Gameplay Reveal Trailer

When Scorpion appeared as a guest character in the original Injustice: Gods Among Us... Sub-Zero felt left out in the cold, so Ed Boon and company included him in Injustice 2 as a DLC guest character. The cryomancer and leader of the Lin Kuei clan brings his ice clones, ice hammer, and many ice projectiles to the Injustice 2 roster. Killer Instinct Full Character Trailer for Eagle

Even though Killer Instinct (2013) is over 3 years old, developer Iron Galaxy is still releasing new playable characters for the Xbox One and PC exclusive. Check out the full length character reveal trailer for the final Season 3 dLC character, Eagle. Just under two minutes, Eagle's trailer outlines his storyline and of course shows the first gameplay footage of the bow and arrow-wielding Native American. Eagle will be released June 27th along with the 3.8 patch.

Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite E3 2017 Story/Gameplay Trailer, Playable Story Demo Now Live on PS4/XB1

During Sony's E3 conference, a new story trailer for Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite was shown. This is accompanied by an all new gameplay trailer featuring the latest playable characters, such as: Thanos, Dante, Rocket Raccoon, Dr. Strange, Arthur, Zero and Nathan Spencer. In addition, a playable story demo for the game is now available for download on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Capcom Unity released a gameplay introduction video to help players get acquainted with the new mechanics.

First Gameplay Videos of Dragon Ball FighterZ

After last night's official reveal of Dragon Ball FighterZ at Xbox's E3 2017 conference, the first raw gameplay videos of the Arc System Works developed 2.5D fighter have surfaced online. Early footage confirms 3-Vs-3 Tag Battles, Assist Attacks, a super gauge with over 5 bars of meter, stage transitions, damage to backgrounds, character transformations, and more. Even if you're not a huge fan of the source material, the first gameplay footage of Dragon Ball FighterZ looks promising for 2D fighting game fans.

Arc System Works Developing Dragon Ball FighterZ, a 2.5D Fighting Game with 3-VS-3 Battles

The Dragon Ball series has seen its fair share of fighting game iterations... although, very few were ever fundamentally competitive or technically comparable to traditional fighting games. That may finally change in 2018 with Arc System Works developing Dragon Ball FighterZ, a 2.5D fighting game with 3-on-3 battles, and graphics comparable to the Guilty Gear Xrd series. Chief Thunder's Brother, Eagle, Becomes Playable in Killer Instinct Later This Month

The final new character planned for release in Killer Instinct Season 3 is Eagle, Chief Thunder's younger brother. Eagle will be released later this month as part of the 3.8 content update. Check out the first images of Eagle along with his teaser trailer. Eagle's full-length official trailer and additional information will be released later this month (including with his DLC pricing).

Bandai Namco Rolling Out Tekken 7 Matchmaking Fix This Week, Available Now on PS4/XB1

Bandai Namco has released the TEKKEN 7 online stability patch (#1) ahead of schedule on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The patch is currently live and available for download, and definitely improves matchmaking in Online Ranked / Player matches! Additionally, player info (such as wins, rank, title, and current character) will no longer be displayed before joining a random match. Turning ON/OFF Voice Chat was also added to options. A similar patch for the PC version is planned for next week.  (Source: Tekken.com)

Tekken 7 Official Retro Story Recap Video (Part 2)

Remember the "TEKKEN Retro Story Recap" video we posted last month? Today, Bandai Namco released Part 2 of the Retro Recap series for TEKKEN 7, which sums up the Mishima saga storylines of TEKKEN 4, TEKKEN 5, and TEKKEN 6 in charming 8-bit style animation and sound. Once again, these movies are also unlockable within TEKKEN 7's Gallery Mode, along with many other cinematics and illustrations.

Bandai Namco Working on Tekken 7 Matchmaking Fix

A rocky start for netplay when a new fighting game comes out is nothing out of the ordinary... and nothing that can't be fixed through patching. Earlier today, Bandai Namco released a statement confirming that a fix is coming for online matchmaking in TEKKEN 7. "We are currently investigating the issue and plan to address the problem through an online update scheduled to modify the game spec and improve matching. Player and opponent character will no longer be displayed when searching for a match in Ranked Match." More details coming soon. (Source: Tekken.com)

Digital Foundry Compares Tekken 7 on PC, Playstation 4, PS4 Pro & Xbox One, Early Input Lag Reports

If you're wondering how each version of TEKKEN 7 stacks up graphically and performance-wise, Digital Foundry put together a very interesting video analysis. The full 13-minute video dives deep into TEKKEN 7's groundbreaking visuals, first outlining the upgrades of the 1080p PS4 Pro version over its "864p" PS4 counterpart. They also analyze the PC version's high end graphics settings for maximum quality visuals. The Xbox One version scored the worst, with the lowest graphical quality (720p) and the longest load times.

Tekken 7 Day One Update Adds Netplay Optimizations, Double Elimination Online Tournaments

We're only hours away from TEKKEN 7's worldwide launch! Some (lucky) players who got their hands on the game early have reported significant lag during online matches. Katsuhiro Harada confirmed on Twitter that the "day 1 update" will include netplay optimizations, along with a double elimination option for Online Tournament Mode. Harada also mentioned that the current option to see opponent names (and opt out of online Ranked Match) could be changed at a later date, possibly when players reach a higher rank.  (Source: @Harada_TEKKEN)

Under Night In-Birth EXE: Late[st] Console Opening Movie

Arc System Works uploaded the full opening movie for Under Night In-Birth: EXE Late[st], which is headed to Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PS Vita on July 20th in Japan. The latest version of Under Night will include several new characters such as Enkidu, Wagner, Mika & Phonon. The console version will also add new Tutorial and Mission modes, and character balance adjustments.

Injustice 2 Red Hood Gameplay Reveal Trailer

Red Hood is included in the "Fighters Pack 1" DLC for Injustice 2. Today, NetherRealm released Red Hood's gameplay reveal trailer, showing the acrobatic gunslinger in action. If you thought Injustice 2 was lacking in point blank (and ranged) gunshots to the face, Red Hood is yet another powerful zoning character who will shoot bullets from all angles.

Street Fighter V Adding Vega's Classic SF2 Spain Stage

Capcom revealed today that Vega's classic Spain stage from the Street Fighter II series will be added to Street Fighter V with the upcoming patch. "The Flamenco Tavern" can be unlocked for 70,000 Fight Money or $3.99 USD on May 30th. On that note, Capcom mentioned if you log into SFV between May 30th and June 13th, you'll get a 50,000 Fight Money bonus! Get a first look at the updated Spain stage over at Capcom Unity.

Tekken 7 Character Episode Trailer #4, Official Character Storylines Online

This morning, Bandai Namco released another Character Episode trailer, this time introducing Master Raven, Dragunov, Lili, Asuka, Leo, and Yoshimitsu. Just like in past Character Episode trailers, the end of trailer #4 teases several in-game story scenes. Additionally, Bandai Namco's official TEKKEN 7 website now includes storylines for all 37 characters in the game so far.

Tekken 7 PC Specs, Bandai Namco Releases 3 Basic Tutorial Videos

Bandai Namco has released 3 official tutorial videos which break down some of TEKKEN 7's basic mechanics, and are definitely worth a watch for players of all levels. The tutorial videos are narrated by Mark "Markman" Julio and focus on Movement, Power Crush, and Rage Arts. Secondly, the PC minimum requirements and recommended specs have been revealed.

Street Fighter V New CFN, Ed & Balance Patch Coming May 30th

If you're looking forward to using Street Fighter V's latest DLC character, Ed will officially join the roster in the upcoming patch - set to arrive next Tuesday, May 30th. The new patch will also include the revamped Capcom Fighters Network (CFN) and a major character balance update. Tekken 7 Character Episode Trailer #2

Early this morning, Bandai Namco Japan uploaded a new TEKKEN 7 trailer introducing more characters. TEKKEN 7's official "Character Episode Trailer #2" features King, Jack-7, Steve Fox, Nina Williams, Miguel, Eddy Gordo and Lucky Chloe. The trailer consists primarily of gameplay on new stages, showing off combos along with each character's Rage Art and Rage Drive. More interestingly, the end of the trailer teases some new cinematics several characters' in-game story.

Injustice 2 Launch Trailer, New Videos Roundup

Happy Injustice 2 launch day! If you are a DC Comics fan and a fighting game player, you're probably playing Injustice 2 at this very moment. If you're still on the fence about Injustice 2, NetherRealm Studios released a launch trailer, along with an "Everything You Need to Know" trailer which outlines various modes and aspects about the game. Additionally, check out a new character  dialogue compilation. NetherRealm said there are 13,000 lines of spoken dialogue in-game, along with 6,000+ character intros.

Tekken 7 Official Retro Story Recap Video (Part 1)

Today, TEKKEN producer Katsuhiro Harada revealed an "8-bit style" video humorously recapping the events of the first three TEKKEN games. He confirmed that this video (series) will be unlockable in-game within TEKKEN 7's Gallery Mode, and will recap the main storyline up to TEKKEN 6 . Check out the first video of the series, covering Mishima story events between TEKKEN 1 and TEKKEN 3.

Street Fighter V Capcom Fighters Network Beta 2 Begins Tonight, Full Schedule & Details

Capcom is launching a "new and improved" Capcom Fighters Network (CFN) for Street Fighter V. Starting tonight at 6:00pm (PT), players on PC and PS4 (with PS+) can begin testing out the new CFN, in addition to the latest Season 2 balance changes and tweaks. SFV's next DLC character, Ed, will also be unlocked and playable. CFN beta 2 will run all weekend, ending on Sunday, May 14th at 6:00 (PT). Participants don't even need to own a copy of SFV to try it out, simply download and play for free.  (Source: Capcom Unity)

The King of Fighters XIV Headed to Steam, Closed Beta & Pre-order Coming This Month

Nine months ago, The King of Fighters XIV launched on Playstation 4. Over the past year, the title has been kept fresh with significant free updates and new character/stage DLC. Today at a press event in China, SNK's Yasuyuki Oda confirmed an upcoming PC release of the title via Steam. Oda said there will be a "closed beta" for the PC version held this month and pre-orders will be available soon. We'll keep you up to date as soon as we have more details!

Tekken 7 PS4 Pro Bundle Announced for France, PS4 Pro Rage Arts Gameplay Video by Maximilian

Playstation France has announced a PS4 Pro bundle featuring the Deluxe Edition of TEKKEN 7. No price point has been confirmed yet, but it should be noted that a PS4 Pro currently retails for $399 and TEKKEN 7 Deluxe Edition is $84.99. As previously reported, Harada stated in an IGN interview that TEKKEN 7's graphics will be see a "noticeable" enhancement on PS4 Pro. There's no word on whether or not this bundle will see a release in other regions.

Ed Confirmed for Street Fighter V, Gameplay Reveal Trailer, Screenshots & V-Trigger Details

Capcom has officially revealed Ed, the next DLC character in Street Fighter V. As you may know, Ed previously appeared in Rose's SF4 story and Balrog's Super SF4 ending. Due to the experiments, Ed's body aged faster than normal humans (he appeared as just a kid in SF4's story). Since Balrog raised Ed, his fighting is centered around boxing, but he carries M. Bison's genes and his fighting style is enhanced by Psycho Power. Check out Ed's reveal trailer, screenshots, V-Trigger details and more.

Digital Foundry Posts Tekken 7 Gameplay Video Using "Master" PS4 Build, Early Graphics Analysis

Digital Foundry is known for their graphics comparison and analysis videos on the latest games. Today, they uploaded a TEKKEN 7 gameplay video using the "master" PS4 build. This video is possibly the highest quality TEKKEN 7 video to date, using direct feed footage. Digital Foundry notes the game looks excellent (even on the "base" PS4 without PS4 Pro enhancements). Graphics junkies will notice big improvements on T7's character models and newer stages - notably with shadows and lighting.

Injustice 2 Fighter Pack #1 DLC Trailer, Red Hood, Starfire & Sub-Zero Confirmed

The release of Injustice 2 less than two weeks out, and NetherRealm Studios has already unveiled a trailer for the first DLC "Fighter Pack" which confirms 3 upcoming DLC characters - Red Hood, Starfire and Mortal Kombat's own Sub-Zero. The 1-minute trailer doesn't show any gameplay, but does briefly show each of the DLC characters. Additionally, 6 other character silhouettes are shown... confirming at least 2 more fighter DLC packs.

Street Fighter II Added To Video Game Hall of Fame

As dedicated fighting game fans, we all know Street Fighter 2's undeniable influence on the growth of the competitive fighting game genre. It may seem long overdue, but the official video game Hall of Fame has finally credited Street Fighter 2 for sparking an arcade renaissance in the 1990s. SF2 joins four other titles in the 2017 class of inductees. Congrats to Capcom for their timeless classic, and for continuing the Street Fighter series over the past 3 decades.  (Sources: SRK, CBC)

Garou: Mark of the Wolves Coming to Nintendo Switch May 11th

During the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, it was revealed that Garou: Mark of the Wolves is on the way to the Nintendo Switch eShop as part of the "ACA NEO GEO" series on the console. The Switch port of Garou: MOTW will release on May 11th, 2017 priced at a reasonable $6.99. In related news, the Playstation 4 / Vita port of Garou: MOTW is currently on sale for $5.99 for PS+ subscribers.

Two official TEKKEN 7 X New Japan Pro Wrestling / Bullet Club t-shirts have been available exclusively in Japan for about a month or so. Starting today (May 3rd), these badass shirts are now available for purchase in North America from several vendors. Both the Kazuchika Okada X TEKKEN King and TEKKEN X Bullet Club shirts are currently for sale on ProWrestlingTees.com for $34.99 and $30.99 respectively. May 2017 "Tekken Talk" with Bandai Namco, Markman & Maximilian, New Tekken 7 Details

With only one month left until TEKKEN 7's big console release, Bandai Namco held a live stream today featuring Bandai Namco's own Dalton, Mark "Markman" Julio, and Maximilian. Just over 1 hour long, TEKKEN Talk for May 2017 revealed some new details for the PS4 version. The PS4 exclusive TEKKEN Jukebox mode will come default with all soundtracks from previous TEKKEN games (no DLC required). Also take a look at Training Mode, Eliza footage, new costumes, and more.

Tekken 7 Treasure Battle Gameplay with Jin Kazama in Tekken 4 Hoodie, New Customization Footage

Over the past week, a plethora of gameplay footage from the near-complete PS4 build of TEKKEN 7 has surfaced online. The latest "must see" video shows footage of TEKKEN 7's Treasure Battle, where players earn new customizations and rewards upon completion. 1 Hour of Injustice 2 Multiverse Gameplay Footage

Injustice 2's "Multiverse" mode is similar to the Living Towers mode from Mortal Kombat X. In the Multiverse, players will choose from different versions of Earth from alternate dimensions and storylines. Each Earth has its own opponents, challenges, difficulty, and rewards upon completion. Check out 1 hour of Injustice 2 Multiverse gameplay footage.

Tekken 7 Story Mode Gameplay  *(Possible Spoilers!)* 

If you like to experience a game's presentation in person (like I do) and not through a condensed video via Youtube, then you might not want to watch Gamespot's 11-minute preview of TEKKEN 7's Story Mode. However, if you can't resist to take a glance the new Mishima Saga footage shows off new story cinematics that integrate smoothly into gameplay, plus some of the 2D artwork within the main story mode.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 Free Demo Coming to Playstation 4 For PS+ Subscribers on May 1st

Great news Guilty Gear fans (on PS4)... GGXrd REV 2 will be getting a FREE Playstation 4 demo for PS+ subscribers on May 1st. The PS4 demo will feature the full character roster as playable, plus Training mode and Tutorial mode. There is no pre-order required to enjoy the demo. Playstation 4/Xbox One Crossplay "Should Happen" Says Katsuhiro Harada

With the advancements of fighting game online modes in recent years, a crossplay feature between competing consoles is an interesting idea. For one, TEKKEN's Katsuhiro Harada is all for it. In a new interview with Gamespot, Harada stated he has spoken with both Sony and Microsoft trying tp "champion the cause" with TEKKEN 7. "It's not a technical issue that is holding back PS4/Xbox One cross-play, but instead security protocols and policies," Harada said.  (Source: Gamespot)

Katsuhiro Harada Answers IGN's Tekken Questions, PS4 Pro Will Enhance Tekken 7's Visuals

In a new interview with IGN, TEKKEN 7 producer Katsuhiro Harada, alongside game designer Michael Murray, answer a variety of questions regarding the upcoming 3D fighter. IGN asks about returning fighters & modes, the 5-6 year development time of the game, PSVR, and many other topics. Injustice 2 Darkseid Gameplay Reveal Trailer

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios are keeping their Injustice 2 character reveal trailers rolling. Darkseid's official gameplay introduction trailer has finally arrived, showing the "Lord of Apokolips" in Injustice 2 gameplay for the first time. Darkseid's omega beams seem to be a force to be reckoned with (and the visual effect is pretty cool too).

MVC: Infinite Official Gameplay Trailer (60fps)

In addition to the 5-minute gameplay trailer added to our previous Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite article, Capcom released an official gameplay trailer this afternoon showcasing some of the latest characters to be confirmed for the title! This trailer shows off 60fps/1080p gameplay featuring Strider Hiryu, Chun-Li, Chris Redfield, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye and Ultron. Gamespot also put together a 5-minute video revealing new details about the mechanics.

Tekken 7 Console Version Modes / Story Trailer

This morning, Namco Japan dropped a brand new TEKKEN 7 trailer for the upcoming console versions! Using all new gameplay footage, the trailer begins by recapping the new gameplay mechanics and then quickly moves to the new console version features. All new Story Mode cinematics are shown - one scene confirms a playable "Mishimas versus Jack-4s at Honmaru" (from TEKKEN 5's intro). Customization mode and PS4 exclusive features are also shown in motion.

Street Fighter V Capcom Pro Tour 2017 DLC Costumes & Colors Now Available

Playstation.Blog has announced Capcom Pro Tour 2017 DLC content, which is now available for purchase. So far, the content includes new costumes for Ryu and Ken, with another "Champion's Choice" costume and new stage coming at a later date. Players who purchase this content will directly support the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour. Last year, NuckleDu took home $230,000 for his win at Capcom Cup 2016 in part thanks to fans supporting CPT 2016 DLC.

MVC: Infinite Story Trailer, Screenshots, 9 Fighters Confirmed, Release Date & Pre-order Details

Capcom finally dropped some news on Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite! For starters, check out a new cinematic story trailer and over 25 new images. Also, a total of 9 new characters have been confirmed (the leak was real). Capcom also announced the release date - September 19th, 2017 along with different packages they'll be offering, including a collectors edition. First details on DLC and a character pass were also announced today.

Injustice 2 Braniac Gameplay Reveal Trailer

Braniac appears to be one of Injustice 2's main antagonists. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros just released Braniac's introduction trailer featuring the green megalomaniacal genius in gameplay for the first time ever. Just about 2 minutes long, Braniac's gameplay-centric trailer offers a pretty good preview of his playstyle.

Ultra Street Fighter 2 Trailer #2, Soundtrack Sampler & Poster Artwork

Capcom released the second official trailer for Ultra SF2 on Nintendo Switch. The new trailer shows footage of Color Edit, Buddy Battle (2 VS 1 against the CPU), and Way of the Hadou Mode. The trailer also runs through the different ways you can play the game: Portable Mode, Tabletop Mode, and TV Mode. Secondly, Capcom released a USF2 soundtrack sampler with remixed versions of the classic themes, plus a sample of themes for Violent Ken & Evil Ryu.

Work Costumes, Academy Costumes & Thailand Stage DLC Coming to Street Fighter V April 25th

In addition to the remastered SF2 Thailand stage and the "Street Fighter Academy" costumes for Juri, Chun-Li and Ryu arriving April 25th, some other SFV characters will be receiving new costumes as well. Capcom Unity announced Alex, R. Mika and Chun-Li will also be getting new "work" costumes. Check out some screenshots & concept art over at the Capcom Unity blog. Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st] Coming to PS4, PS3 & PS Vita with New Character

The late(st) arcade version of Under Night In-Birth released in Japanese arcades back in July 2015, adding 2 new characters to the game. Famitsu announced that Under Night In-Birth EXE: Late[st] will finally be coming to consoles - more specifically, PS4, PS3, and PS Vita - on July 20th. Along with the arcade version balance updates, the console version will have an additional character, Enkidu. Check out the first details on Enkidu plus the first Famitsu scans!

Injustice 2 Poison Ivy Gameplay Reveal + Final Shattered Alliances Trailer

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios recently released two new Injustice 2 trailers. First up, Poison Ivy's gameplay reveal trailer has everything you'd expect from the DC villainess (and she brought along some "friends" as well). Secondly, the final "Shattered Alliances" trailer shows off another dose of impressive cinematics, and features the first ever in-game footage of Braniac.

Ultra Street Fighter 2 Color Edit & Stage Selection Shown in New Gameplay Footage

Capcom TV Japan recently uploaded a stream archive featuring Ultra Street Fighter 2 for Nintendo Switch. The 45-minute video features some new Ultra SF2 gameplay footage and shows off Color Edit Mode for the first time in motion. The video also shows the new Color Select and Stage Select screen, and also confirms that players can use Color Edit on both the classic 2D sprites and the 2008 HD Remake sprites.

Eternal Champions Producer Shares "Spiritual Successor" Concept Screenshots

Original Eternal Champions producer and developer, Michael Lathan, recently shared some concept screenshots of "Eternal Successors" - a teaser of what the next-gen sequel to Eternal Champions might look like. The team working on this project currently doesn't hold the rights to the Eternal Champions characters, but it appears they plan to move forward with the project with or without Sega's classic fighters.

Last month, Scarecrow was confirmed as a playable character in the "It's Good to be Bad" trailer for Injustice 2. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. just uploaded Scarecrow's full gameplay reveal trailer, showing the character in action for the first time. Scarecrow is perhaps the most unorthodox-looking fighter in Injustice 2 thus far.

Polygon put together a "Making of Samurai Shodown" article that every SNK fan will want to read. The article features interviews with 3 original SNK developers: Yasushi Adachi, Tomoki Fukui, and Norio Tate. The interview cuts through a wide variety of topics, including early design inspirations, artwork, sound design, console releases, and SNK as a company. Adachi also states that he would like to reunite the original dev-team and make a new game!

This morning, they released The Flash's official reveal trailer, demonstrating some gameplay against Gorilla Grodd. Tekken 7 X NJPW Bullet Club Collaboration Shirts & Bryan Fury Bandana Available April 9th

Back in 2009, the TEKKEN team collaborated with the TapouT brand, creating not only in-game TapouT shirts for TEKKEN 6 characters, but actual shirts for fans to buy (which now fetch a pretty high price on Ebay). So far, TEKKEN 7's main collaboration is with New Japan Pro Wrestling, bringing "TEKKEN X Bullet Club" shirts to TEKKEN 7 characters and fans alike. NJPW Champion Kenny Omega (also a big TEKKEN fan) recently modeled some of the new merch.

Back in February 2017, we reported that a new TEKKEN comic series is being published by Titan Comics and previewed some of the cover artworks. Just a few days following Catwoman's Injustice 2 gameplay trailer, Warner Bros and NetherRealm Studios has released Captain Cold's reveal trailer. Clearly, the Captain has "no chill" as he demonstrates his many ice projectile attacks and freeze abilities. KOF XIV Rock Howard Gameplay & Combo Videos

If you're hype for Rock Howard's return in The King of Fighters XIV (arriving April 5th), then you'll most likely want to check out these new KOF XIV gameplay videos featuring the Garou: Mark of the Wolves protagonist. Capcom Unveils Street Fighter Academy Quiz for April Fools Day

On this April Fools Day, Capcom's CFN Portal has introduced Street Fighter Academy Quiz - a playable mini-game testing your knowledge on Street Fighter series trivia. Players can choose to fight against either Ryu, Chun-Li or Juri Han while answering the questions. Arika Teases New Street Fighter EX / Fighting Layer Successor on April Fools Day

Arika (Street Fighter EX developer) used this April Fools day to debut a gameplay video of a new fighting game engine they're working on, featuring SFEX characters, Kairi, Garuda and Hokuto. Several years back, Arika shared developmental footage of a SFEX-inspired reboot, but it was experimental. However, it seems Arika never actually stopped development of the spiritual successor to SFEX, and hasn't forgotten about the characters they own the rights to.
