DOA5 1.03 Patch to Add Replay Uploading

A patch is on its way to DOA5 which will enable replay recording & uploading. Tecmo Koei uploaded a test video utilizing this feature. PS3 users will be able to upload to Facebook & Youtube, and 360 users can just upload to Facebook. Like in other recent games with replay uploading features, the videos will be in 360p quality.

Rare Footage of Primal Rage 2 Prototype

Every old school fighting game fan has heard of Primal Rage. Well, a sequel was planned and actually started, but Atari abandoned the project. An owner of one of the rare Primal Rage 2 test cabinets just uploaded some actual gameplay footage of the canceled game. (And quite frankly, I'm glad this wasn't released).

Blazblue: CP Astral Finishes Compilation

GeiruW uploaded a compilation video showcasing some of the new Astral Finishes in Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma, as they are performed by each of the new characters. One of the more notable Astral Finishes is Amane's, which turns the opponent into a child.

Capcom VS SNK 2 & CFE Coming to PSN "Next Year"

Today, Capcom's Senior Vice President, Christian Svensson told Siliconera that Capcom VS SNK 2 and Capcom Fighting Evolution will "eventually" be coming to the North American Playstation Network. According to Svensson, "The timing will be quite different though from Japan. More news will come next year."

Capcom Fighting Jam Now Available on Japanese PSN

The 2004 2D fighter, Capcom Fighting Jam, was just released on Playstation Network in Japan as a "PS2 Classic" title. If you have access to a Japanese PSN account, you can pick up the game for 1200 Yen (about $14). Even if you're not a fan of this particular title, this is surely a good sign of things to come.

Street Fighter X Megaman Video Walkthrough

Gametrailers released a complete video walkthrough for the recently released platformer, Street Fighter X Megaman. The full game is currently available for download (completely free) on Capcom Unity. In addition, Capcom's Chris Svensson stated that the game could appear on Mac, Linux & iOS, but will not be coming to consoles.

Kevin Tancharoen, director of the Mortal Kombat: Legacy web series has released 4 teaser images for season 2 (currently being filmed). The "Round 6" Dead or Alive 5 costume pack DLC has become available on Xbox Live, and will be coming to PSN next week on December 18th. The latest DLC costume packs offer Santa Claus themed costumes for 9 of the fighters and are priced at $2.99 each. Here are the official screenshots.

Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma Izayoi Trailer

Coinciding with Izayoi's release in the Japanese arcade version of Chrono Phantasma later this week, Arc System Works released a new trailer for Izaoyi. The 1 and 1/2 minute video shows some of Izayoi's insane combo possibilities and super moves. The video also provides a glimpse at some of the new stages of Chrono Phantasma.

Street Fighter X Tekken Ver. 2013 Trailer

Capcom Unity released a new trailer for the upcoming 2013 update to Street Fighter X Tekken. The video runs through all of the minor changes that Ver. 2013 will include, and even demonstrates a variety of the individual character tweaks. The 2013 patch will be released on January 29th, 2013 for free.

DC Comics Announces Injustice Action Figures

DC Comics has announced a line of action figures for the upcoming DC fighting game by NetherRealm Studios, Injustice: Gods Among Us. The 3 3/4" scale figures will be released in April 2013 in packs of two, retailing for $29.99. Confirmed figures so far include Deathstroke, Green Arrow, Solomon Grundy & Wonder Woman.

Dead or Alive 5 "Plus" Headed to PS Vita

Yet another fighting game is on its way to Playstation Vita. In this video, Yosuke Hayashi of Team Ninja confirms that Dead or Alive 5 Plus is in development for PS Vita, and will be released in early 2013. The Vita version will include bonus features not seen in the console version and will be released on March 19th, 2013.

Guilty Gear: AC+ North American PSN Release Date

An official date has finally been given for the re-release of Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus on Playstation Network. You'll be able to pick it up in North America on December 4th, 2012 for $14.99. Unfortunately, PSN players in Europe will have to wait a bit longer for the game (according to Yamanaka_ARC).

Classic Sega Fighting Games Hit PSN/XBL Next Week

The official Sega blog has confirmed Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers and Sonic The Fighters will hit PSN on November 27th for $4.99 each (December 5th in Europe). The 3 games will be released on XBLA the following day for 400 MSP. Each game features online multiplayer and achievements/trophies.

Capcom's Darkstalkers Resurrection dev blog was updated with Ayano confirming 2 features for the upcoming game: 8-player online tournament mode and Youtube replay uploading. Skullgirls Team Reformed as Lab Zero Games

It's just been reported that last June, Reverge Labs laid off the entire Skullgirls team from their game development division. The Skullgirls team has now formed Lab Zero Games, and is still working with Autumn Games to support Skullgirls. Lab Zero Games explains this the reason behind the PC version delay and lack of DLC characters.

Many sites are reporting that Capcom has filed a trademark for the title, Fighters of Capcom. While no details are available, this could potentially be a new Capcom fighting game, or possibly a localized version of the upcoming mobile RPG game announced last month. Stay tuned! The official Skullgirls Twitter recently announced that the long awaited 1.01 patch will go live on November 20th on Playstation 3. The release for Xbox 360 has yet to be announced, however. BlayzeBloo: Clone Phantasma Coming to 3DS eShop

Arc System Works announced that a sequel to the 2010 Nintendo DSiWare title, BlayzBloo: Super Melee Brawlers Battle Royale, is in development. The new game is called BlayzeBloo: Clone Phantasma and will feature 10 characters, 7 stages, and a "wacky" story mode. Clone Phantasma hits the 3DS eShop in Japan this Winter.

Is Tekken Card Tournament in Development?

Siliconera reports that Namco Bandai has filed a trademark for Tekken Card Tournament in Europe. Namco stated previously that they want to expand into the social gaming market, so some are speculating that this is a mobile or social Tekken game. Fun Fact: Tekken Card Challenge was released for Wonderswan in 1999.

Hori Announces Wii U TTT2 Arcade Stick

The Nintendo Wii U will launch on December 8th in Japan alongside a Hori Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U arcade stick. The stick connects with the Wii U just like the Classic Controller Pro. The first Wii U arcade stick will retail for 7,980 Yen (about $100). A release date for other regions outside of Japan have yet to be announced.

SFxT Cross Play Enabled, Online Web Manual

Capcom released an update for the PS3 version of SF X Tekken, enabling interconnectivity between the PS Vita & PS3 versions. Cross Link allows PS3 users to play against Vita users (and vice versa). TTT2 DLC Soundtracks & Bonus Movies Now Online

Namco released some new DLC for Tekken Tag 2 today. This includes classic ending movies from Tekken, Tekken 2, Tekken 3 & TTT, as well as full soundtracks from Tekken 1-6 (including TTT). Once bought, these can be conveniently enjoyed in TTT2's Theater Mode. This DLC ranges from $2.49-$6.99.

SF X Tekken Now Available on Playstation Vita

Love it or hate it, SF X Tekken comes out on Playstation Vita today. The first exclusive Street Fighter release on Vita will surely pack a lot of content for a handheld fighting game. Dead or Alive 5 - New DLC Costumes Hit PSN & XBL

Two weeks after the first costume pack, Tecmo Koei has released some additional DLC costumes for DOA5. Unlike the first set of costumes, these won't be free. Each pack by itself is $4.99 USD on PSN (400 MSP on 360), while the full set is available for $12.99 USD on PS3 (1040 MSP on 360).

Along with Darkstalkers Resurrection, an awesome CG teaser trailer featuring Lord Raptor & Demitri was also shown at the Capcom panel. While this doesn't "confirm" Darkstalkers 4, one would think that if Darkstalkers Resurrection receives enough support, a new game could become a reality.

SF X Tekken "Ver. 2013" Coming This December

At NYCC '12, Capcom announced "SF X Tekken: Version 2013", a free DLC update that includes major system changes and character tweaks, set for release mid-December. Tekken Ball Returns in Tekken Tag 2: Wii U Edition

Namco released a new trailer for the upcoming "Wii U Edition" of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 showing off new Nintendo-themed customizations, as well as the return of Tekken Ball Mode! Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition will be available November 30th 2012 exclusively on the Nintendo Wii U console.

Joker & Green Lantern Confirmed for Injustice

Warner Bros. revealed the official box art for Injustice: Gods Among Us, confirming both Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and The Joker. Additional, 3 new screenshots were released (2 of which showing Green Arrow in action) and can be found on the TFG profile of Injustice.

Green Arrow Joins the Cast of Injustice

This new trailer confirms Green Arrow as the latest character to join the roster of Injustice: Gods Among Us. Green Arrow actually made his first fighting game appearance in Justice League: Task Force. This gameplay trailer gives a preview of Green Arrow's play style. Green Arrow's Injustice character render was also revealed.

Capcom Crossover Game Hitting Smart Phones

Siliconera is reporting that a "hero training RPG" / card battle game featuring a wide variety of Capcom franchises is coming to smartphone social game service GREE on October 25th. The game is titled Capcom All Stars with Everyone, and will be compatible with DoCoMo feature phones, Android 2.2 and up, and iOS 4.3 and up.

Tekken Tag 2 - Patch 1.02 Released Today

A free update for TTT2 was released today on PSN! This 32 MB patch adds: Tekken Theater, World Arena Mode, Decal Equip / Customize, 4 new stages, and adds Slim Bob, Miharu & Sabastian as playable characters! Patch 1.02 also corrects Kunimitsu's crouching hitbox, Ogre's infinite, and improves online matchmaking.
