Capcom Plans To "Reaffirm Their Presence" in The Fighting Genre in 2014

In an interview with 4Gamer, Capcom's Kazunori Sugiura declared that the company plans on "reaffirming their presence" in the fighting genre next year. Whether Sugiura-san is referring to Ultra SF4 or a brand new title is unknown. Sugiura-san added that there are many "unannounced games" that will surprise fans in 2014. Will we see Darkstalkers 4 in 2014? New HD Online remakes? Or possibly something entirely new? We'll see in 2014!

Guilty Gear's Sol Badguy & Dizzy Join Sega's MOBA Title, Chaos Heroes Online

Chaos Heroes Online is a Japanese multiplayer battle arena (or MOBA) game from Sega. The game has already seen several guest characters from other franchises, including Ulala & Evila from Space Channel 5 and Alicia & Selveria from Valkyria Chronicles. Tekken Revolution - Eliza Alternate Costumes, Unlock Details & "Big Boobs" Version

After unlocking Eliza (and her 2 alt. costumes), LevelUpYourGame has given the lowdown on the new Tekken Revolution character. First off, to unlock Eliza you'll have to earn 20,000 Blood Seals by playing the game's various modes. The next 70,000 Blood Seals unlocks Eliza's Bikini Costumes, and finally, the 70,000 Blood Seals after that unlocks her "big boobs" costume. LUYG uploaded a short video which shows all of Eliza's costumes.

Skullgirls Encore to Feature "Typing Mode"

When Skullgirls re-releases on PSN & XBL as Skullgirls Encore, the game will feature a new mode called "The Typing of Skullgirls". This offline mode requires players to correctly type a word on screen after performing a super move. If typed correctly, the super move will do 1.5 more damage, while failing to type correctly will result in negative 10% damage. Finally, if the the word is partially correct, damage will be normal.

Tekken Revolution Eliza Gameplay From LUYG

Rip over at LevelUpYourGame has already unlocked Eliza in Tekken Revolution (using the Japanese version), and has posted a variety of gameplay videos featuring the narcoleptic vampire girl. Soul Calibur: Lost Swords Delayed to 2014

The free-to-play 1-player fighting game Soul Calibur: Lost Swords was originally scheduled to be released by the end of 2013. Today, Namco Bandai stated that in order to "improve the quality of the game" they've pushed the release date back to sometime in 2014. After playing the beta version myself, I'd say this is probably a good thing. ;)

Persona 4: Ultimax Sho Minazuki "Persona Version" Arcade Gameplay Footage

Over in Japan, the "persona version" of Sho Minazuki was time released today in arcade version of Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold. The new version of Sho fights with the persona "Tsukiyomi" and has a variety of new moves, although he looses his command dash. Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma Coming to North America on March 25th (2014), Limited Edition

Aksys Games announced March 25th, 2014 as the NA release date for the console version of Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma, which currently remains a PS3 exclusive. The first print copies will include a DLC code for Yuki Terumi. Alongside the standard version, a limited edition will also be available for $79.99, which contains: 40-page artbook, soundtrack CD, Rachel Alucard Nendoroid "petite" figure, poster/movelist & special features Blu-ray.

Kotobukiya just released some images of their upcoming Bishoujo Cammy statue, based on new artwork by Shunya Yamashita. Pop Culture Shock also recently announced their 1:4 scale Balrog statue. There are 3 versions of the Balrog statue, all becoming available for pre-order on Dec. 23rd. The standard edition will set you back $325 and is limited to 500 pieces. Skullgirls PSN Delisting Pushed to Dec. 31st, Encore Re-Release Scheduled for Jan. 2014

A bit of news on the state of Skullgirls... The temporary delisting on the PSN version was pushed back to Dec. 31st, matching the XBL date. In addition to this news, Lab Zero announced that Skullgirls will be reborn as "Skullgirls Encore" when it returns sometime in January 2014. The transition to the new version will work differently depending on your console and region, as Lab Zero explains in detail on their website.

Tekken Revolution - Eliza & Bob Release Info

Namco announced some release date info on Eliza via Tekken Official and Facebook. The sexy vampire girl hits TR in Europe Dec. 18th, Japan on Dec. 19th and North America on Jan. 7th. Players will have to collect 20,000 "Blood Contract Marks" to unlock Eliza, which are earned the same way as Gift Points. In addition, Bob will join the roster on Dec. 24th in Japan (which possibly equates to Dec. 23rd for EU and Jan. 7th-14th for NA).

MVC2 & Ultimate MVC3 Leaving PSN & Xbox Live, Discounts Now Available

Capcom Unity announced (rather suddenly) that the digital versions of MVC2 and Ultimate MVC3 (along with all DLC content) are going to be removed from PSN & XBL. The final days to pick up the DLC are: 12/7 (NA PSN), 12/19 (EU PSN) and 12/26 (XBL). The good news? Currently you can pick up MVC2 at 50%-85% off on PSN (75% off on XBL). UMVC3 on XBL is also 83% off (only $5.09), and all DLC is discounted across the board.

Ultra Street Fighter IV - New Trailer, Screenshots & Game Modes Announced

Over the weekend, Capcom released some new tidbits on their upcoming update to SSF4: AE, Ultra Street Fighter 4. First off, the new trailer highlights the new gameplay mechanics and reveals Online Training Mode and Team Battle Mode. In addition, Capcom released 12 new "official" screenshots for the game. Finally, Yoshinori Ono stated that the unannounced fifth new character is female, but gave no further details.

Tekken Revolution - Eliza Reveal Trailer

This evening, Namco released a trailer for Eliza, the first completely new character who will debut in Tekken Revolution! A female vampire, Eliza appears to suffer from some sort of narcolepsy, and also has a "King of Fighters style" projectile attack. Check out the trailer to see a few of Eliza's special moves & combos! Famitsu confirmed that Eliza will become playable in Tekken Revolution in Japan on Dec. 19th.

New Photos From Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist Set Show Young Akuma, Gouken & Goutetsu

The Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist Facebook page recently revealed some new photos from the set. Joey Ansah, one of the directors, also explained that the visual FX are being done in a "practical" style in order to bring Hadoukens to life, blending them seamlessly with the live action. The musical score & sound design is also in the final stages, and the composers are aiming to "break the trend" of forgettable movie soundtracks.

Konami Requests Skullgirls Removal From PSN/XBL

Lab Zero, the creators of Skullgirls, have just cut ties with Konami, as the publisher of the console versions asked Sony and Microsoft to remove the game from PSN & XBL. The de-listing will happen on Dec. 31st on both systems. Lab Zero is looking to find new publishers for the game (which would result in a new build of the game). Ultra Street Fighter IV Release Information

Today, Capcom Unity gave some new information on the release date of Ultra Street Fighter IV. Sticking to their strategy of releasing USF4 before EVO '14, Capcom will launch the digital upgrade in early June for $14.99 on PS3 & 360. The digital upgrade for PC (also $14.99) and the PS3 & 360 retail version and full digital bundle will follow in August 2014 for $39.99. The retail & full bundle version includes all previously-released costumes.

Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold New Screenshots & Details on Sho Minazuki

Today we've got some new details on P4U's new character, Sho Minazuki (as well as new screenshots). There are actually 2 different versions of Sho. In the Japanese version, the first "Sho Minazuki" is written in kanji, and the other is written in katakana. One is currently playable in the arcade version, the other will be time released on Dec. 19th. The latter has a different moveset and uses a persona called Tsukiyomi.

Killer Instinct (2013) Easter Egg: Classic Stage Music "Remixes" Found in-Game

Musical easter eggs have been found in Killer Instinct for Xbox One. When two players remain idle on a stage, remixed versions of classic KI stage music (or tracks from the Killer Cuts album) will begin to play. The music will return to normal as soon as either player resumes movement. Acidglow put together a video demonstrating this cool easter egg on a variety of stages.

Sega Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Virtua Fighter With New Website

Sega has put up a 20th anniversary website for their historic Virtua Fighter series. Virtua Fighter is the grandfather of all 3D fighting games, raising the bar in terms of innovation and paving the way for many other 3D fighters in the mid 90's. Currently there isn't a whole lot of content on the 20th anniversary website, but Sega stated they will gradually be updating it with new content and information regarding VF history.

In the form of this new trailer, Atlus just confirmed that the sequel to Persona 4 Arena will be coming out for Playstation 3 (in Japan). Previously only announced for arcades, Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold hits PS3's in Japan next Summer. No release dates for the West have yet been announced.

We previously saw Zato-One appear in one of the early GGXrd trailers, strongly suggesting his inclusion in the game, but today we have 100% confirmation! The official Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN website revealed Zato-One's character artwork and movelist. In addition, Arc System Works revealed a silhouette of a mysterious new character.

"Street Fighter Alpha: Ryu VS Sagat" Fan Film

Just uploaded this morning, here's a really cool live action fan film based on Street Fighter Alpha. Just under 6 minutes long, the short film revolves around the most memorable match-up from the original SFA, Ryu VS Sagat. On a side note: The creator of this film, Jason Yonnick (whom sent the video in), told me that TFG is his "Go-To" spot for everything fighting games... which I think is rather awesome. :) Watch the film HERE.

A decade ago, Soul Calibur II debuted on PS2, Xbox and Gamecube. One of the highest rated fighting games of all time has returned with an online enabled HD edition, now conveniently downloadable to your Playstation 3 or Xbox 360. Ultra Street Fighter IV Headed to Japanese Arcades in April 2014, Consoles Before EVO '14

Capcom has given a little more clarity concerning their release date for Ultra Street Fighter IV. The SF4 update will be coming to Japan arcades in April 2014, followed by console release in North America & Europe later on. While no specifics were given, Combofiend stated that Ultra SF4 will hit consoles sometime before EVO '14 (July). In addition, 4 new screenshots featuring the new characters were added to TFG's USF4 preview profile.

Soul Calibur II HD Online Launch Trailer

With Soul Calibur II HD Online arriving on Playstation Network and Xbox Live next week, Namco Bandai released a new launch trailer titled "Legends Never Die". The trailer shows mostly cinematics and gameplay footage, including Heihachi Mishima squaring off against Spawn (which was never possible before HD Online). SC2: HD Online hits PSN on November 19th and XBL on November 20th.

Shadow Jago Revealed in Killer Instinct 3

During their most recent stream, Microsoft revealed "Shadow Jago" in KI3. Besides his ghostly appearance, some of his special moves will differ from Jago's (alt. effects & colors, such as a dark purple fireball). His voice will also be darker sounding. Currently, he fights exactly the same as Jago, but the dev-team plans to differentiate him more in the future. Players that pick up the XBL Gold Day-1 Edition will have access to Shadow Jago.

SNK Posts 3D Character Renders on Official Site

The official SNK Playmore website was updated today with some interesting 3D character renders. The characters shown are Nakoruru, Haohmaru, Terry, Geese and Alice. This image appears to be related to the job openings announcement from earlier this year. "Rumors" suggest that new 3D KOF and Samurai Shodown games are in the making, but it's also possible this could be related to new Pachinko games.

European PS4 Launch Commercial Shows Ryu From Last Week's Bizarre Hadouken Cabs Video

With the launch of Playstation 4 upon us, we can surely expect great things coming to the fighting genre in the near future. The latest tease for us fighting game fans appears in this high budget European PS4 launch commercial. The TV ad actually begins inside Ryu's taxi, featuring none other than the weird Ryu cosplayer from last week's Hadouken Cabs video. You can even see Ryu's SF4 select portrait on the back of the driver's seat.

New Character Revealed for Arcade Version of Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate in Magazine Scan

Tecmo Koei revealed a new character, Marie Rose, whom will appear in the arcade version of Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate. Here's a magazine scan that shows some screenshots of Marie Rose and supplies the first details on the character. Marie Rose is the "smallest" character in the game and relies on her speed in battle. As you can see from the screenshots, she also appears to have a Gothic Lolita fashion style. She is voiced by Mai Aizawa.

Killer Instinct 3 Orchid Breakdown, Raw Gameplay

Here are 3 new Killer Instinct videos to check out. First is the Orchid Breakdown series, where Maximilian and Double Helix Games' community manager, FilthieRich, sit down to talk about B. Orchid. Killer Instinct 3 Post Launch Character Release Dates, No Arcade/Story Mode at Launch

Microsoft announced some new details regarding the 2 most recently confirmed characters in Killer Instinct (2013), Spinal and Fulgore. Spinal will be the first character released after launch (Nov. 22nd) and becomes playable in January 2014. Fulgore will follow in March. Also, Double Helix stated that KI3 will be without a traditional arcade mode (or story mode) at launch. These modes will arrive later on, when all characters are out.

Legend of Raven Confirmed for PS4 & Xbox One

The indie fighting game, Legend of Raven (AKA Yatagarasu), is headed to PS4 and Xbox One complete with GGPO netcode for online play. For the PS4/Vita versions, Legend of Raven will be a Cross Buy / Cross Play enabled title. That means you'll get both versions for the price of one, and you can play others online across systems. Soul Calibur: Lost Swords - Official Poster, New Screenshots & Gameplay Details

New details regarding Namco Bandai's upcoming free-to-play PS3 fighting have arrived. New gameplay systems have been announced, such as: Soul Burst, Soul Break, Weapon Arts and the Support Characters system. Blazblue: CP Coming to North America in March 2014

Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma hit PS3 in Japan a couple weeks ago on October 24th. Fans in the West only have a few more months to wait, as Aksys Games announced today that ChronoPhantasma is coming to North America in March 2014. A $79.99 Limited Edition has also been announced, and includes the same extras as the Japanese version: a soundtrack CD, 40-page artbook, Rachel Alucard Nendoroid figure, plus 2 North American exclusives.

JJBA: All-Star Battle English Version in Spring 2014

If you're holding off to try out JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle until the English version arrives, you can finally get your hands on the game next Spring. Namco Bandai announced that JJBA: All-Star Battle will release in North America, Europe, and Australasia sometime in Spring 2014. Namco Bandai Games Europe also released a new English trailer for the game, highlighting characters from the first 3 parts of the manga.

Killer Instinct (2013) Pin Ultimate Edition Image Confirms Fulgore

Earlier today, Penny Arcade posted an article revealing some new images and details on the Killer Instinct: Pin Ultimate Edition collector's edition. One of the images shows the physical case which carries the individual character pins, and mistakenly, this image actually leaked Fulgore for the game. Thus, Fulgure has been confirmed as the final character in Season 1.

AGBMedia uploaded a compilation of some recent Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- gameplay footage from the recent location test in Japan. This collection of footage contains some interesting tidbits, including: Awesome introduction sequences for Slayer, Faust, I-No & Millia, Faust's super move performed on various characters (showing their unique & hilarious reactions to it), and also some general gameplay footage.

First Images of New Tekken Revolution Character, The Sexy Female Vampire

This past Sunday, a huge Tekken (TTT2) tournament called MASTERCUP.6 took place in Tokyo, Japan, drawing 100's of players from around the country. During the tournament, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada revealed some new images of the first "100% new" Tekken Revolution character. The new magazine scans give a first look at the character's in-game character model.

Double Helix released some additional Killer Instinct (2013) screenshots featuring B. Orchid on her new stage. In addition, the game's customization menu has also been revealed, which allows players to customize various parts of each character. KI (2013) Orchid Reveal Trailer, Spinal Teaser

On Halloween night, Double Helix revealed the first gameplay trailer featuring Orchid during IGN's live stream, and also teased the newest character for the Killer Instinct reboot, Spinal! The 2-hour stream shows more Orchid gameplay with commentary by Double Helix. Also shown are some of the game's modes along with character accessories, which are basically customizations that players can add to the characters.

Soul Calibur 2 HD Online Releasing November 19/20, Ultra Street Fighter 4 Coming in April 2014

To kick off the new month, here's some fresh release date info on 2 upcoming fighting games. First, Soul Calibur 2 HD Online will be hitting PSN on Nov. 19th and XBL on Nov. 20th for $19.99. Namco also released a new promotional image for SC2 HD Online on Facebook. Next, on the Capcom side of things... Ultra Street Fighter 4 is set for an April 2014 release. Ultra SF4 will be a $15 DLC add-on to SSF4: Arcade Edition, or $40 by itself.

Street Fighter X All Capcom Artwork & Screenshots, Coming November 19th in Japan

New character artwork and screenshots have been released from Capcom's upcoming mobile card game, Street Fighter X All Capcom. One of Capcom's 30th Anniversary projects, Street Fighter X All Capcom presents a similar art style to the classic CardFighters Clash series. The game features over 500 characters and up to 20 VS 20 player Team Battles.

One of the original designers of Street Fighter II, Akira Nishitani, has joined Twitter. Right off the bat, he's been posting some very interesting details regarding the development of SF2, or as we know it, the single game that jump started the competitive fighting genre itself. Akira's tweets are in Japanese, but Mugen Fighters Guild has a thread dedicated to translating his tweets. Any old school SF player will find this stuff fascinating!

Four iconic Street Fighter veterans have joined Game Bakers' iOS/Android brawler, Combo Crew! The latest update enables players to play as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Blanka (after unlocking them for $1.00 each). Check out the promo image as well as a short trailer featuring the SF characters. Ultra Street Fighter 4 Arcade Poster Artwork

Capcom just released a new poster artwork for Ultra Street Fighter IV. Made to represent the upcoming arcade version of the game, the poster shows off a variety of SF4 veterans alongside the newcomers: Poison, Hugo, Rolento and Elena. The mysterious fifth new character is still yet to be revealed, but Capcom's Yoshinori Ono recently stated on Twitter that more Ultra SF4 updates are "coming soon".

Ultra SF4 - Red Focus Attack & Ultra Combo Double

For months now, Capcom has been pretty silent regarding any updates on Ultra Street Fighter IV. Tonight, Combofiend over at CapcomFightersTV just revealed some fresh details. He announced two new gameplay systems for Ultra SF4: Red Focus Attack (allows players to sacrifice meter to absorb more than one attack) & Ultra Combo Double (allows the use of both Ultra moves in a match, but sacrifices damage).

Capcom Looking For Game Designer & Programmer for "New Fighting Game"

Capcom's Yoshinori Ono tweeted something interesting at 11pm last night. Apparently Capcom is looking for a new game designer and programmer for a "new fighting game". Of course, we can only speculate on what this new game could be. Whether this will be a new franchise, a returning classic franchise, or perhaps an unexpected sequel... remains to be seen.

Xuan Dou Zhi Wang Neo Shanwoo Video Movelist

Today's free XDZW update introduces Neo Shanwoo, a revised and "final" version of Shanwoo. Following Xeno's video movelist from a few days ago, here's a video demo showing off Shanwoo's new moveset. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle To Feature Localization Changes In The West

Siliconera confirmed that the upcoming English versions of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle will feature some name changes. Since JJBA takes heavy inspiration from famous musicians and bands, some character names will be different in the English version to steer clear of copyright issues (example: "Vanilla Ice" being changed to "Iced"). Also confirmed: The localized version will retain mid-fight Japanese kanji and Japanese voices.

Xuan Dou Zhi Wang Xeno Video Movelist

A few days ago, Xeno was confirmed as a playable character in XDZW (to be released in the October 22nd update). Just released, is an official video movelist for Xeno which shows the character in gameplay for the first time. Soul Calibur II HD Online Gameplay Footage

Namco Bandai Games Europe recently released a Soul Calibur II HD Online gameplay clip. The first full-length gameplay video features Mitsurugi VS Nightmare, controlled by top French players, DTN (SC2 EVO 2003 winner) and & Mark Nikil. Since Youtube downgrades video framerate and overall image quality, this gameplay clips doesn't accurately represent HD Online's upgraded graphics.

Xuan Dou Zhi Wang Update Coming Oct. 22nd

Later this month, a free update is coming to Xuan Dou Zhi Wang which adds a new character along with some fresh alternate costumes. Xeno, the third member of King's team, will finally be joining the roster! Next, Shanwoo gains some new threads along with an updated fighting style and redone voice work. Injustice (PS Vita) - 60 FPS Gameplay Footage

The Playstation Vita version of Injustice: Gods Among Us was shown at last weekend's New York Comic-Con '13. Early reports have stated that the Vita version replicates the console experience very closely. This gameplay video from the NYCC '13 floor shows the game running in 60 FPS. In the video, Jack Mathews of Armature Studio (the company behind the Vita port) confirmed that all the DLC will be unlocked from the start.

JJBA: All-Star Battle 1.03 Patch Notes Video

On October 10th, patch 1.03 for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle was released. This patch makes quite a few gameplay system changes, as demonstrated by this video. When CyberConnect2 previously patched the game to remove infinites, some systems were taken out (to the dismay of many players). Patch 1.03 reinstalls some of these systems, and makes some drastic improvements the gameplay experience of JJBA: ASB.

Killer Instinct (2013) "Pin Ultimate Edition"

A collector's edition of Double Helix's reboot of Killer Instinct was just announced on the Microsoft Store. This digital bundle retails for $59.99 and contains everything from the $40 version of the game. While it doesn't contain a game disc, Pin Ultimate Edition comes with a limited run of "collectible pins" designed by Penny Arcade. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle Devs "Upset" By Fan Reaction to Micro Transactions

JJBA: All-Star Battle's Campaign Mode received quite a bit of fan disapproval due to its pay-for-time/cooldown system and micro-transactions. Siliconera had a quick chat with CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama and Namco Bandai's Noriaki Niino on the subject, and asked if this system will still be in place when the English version releases. The short answer is "yes," but the team will be making adjustments to the system.

Blazblue: Chronophantasma - Full TGS '13 Demo

The entire TGS '13 stage demo for Blazblue: Chronophantasma from Sony's booth is now available to watch on Youtube! PlaystationJP posted the 26-minute video presentation in full HD. Naturally, all of the spoken dialogue is Japanese and, unfortunately, there aren't any subtitles. Nonetheless, the HD-quality direct feed gameplay footage starts at 6:43. This includes gameplay featuring Kokonoe, Kagura and Terumi.

JJBA: All-Star Battle - Famitsu Shows Iced & Anasui

A scan from the latest Famitsu magazine has revealed artwork for the next 2 DLC characters on the way to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle. As previously confirmed, the 2 newcomers are Vanilla Ice / Iced from Part III: Stardust Crusaders (whom fighting game players may remember from the original JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fighting game), and Narciso Anasui from Part VI: Stone Ocean. No release dates have been confirmed yet.

DOA5: Ultimate Halloween DLC Costumes & Stage

Xbox.com released new images of some upcoming "Halloween themed" DLC content for Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate. This includes Halloween costumes for the entire cast, along with a Halloween themed stage. First Episode of Blazblue Anime - Free to Watch

Episode 1 of Blazblue: Alter Memory (the Blazblue anime adaptation) is now available to watch for FREE on Funimation.com! The first episode of the anime follows Ragna on his path to the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi. The episode is 23 minutes long and features Japanese dialogue with English subtitles. 12 episodes are currently planned for the anime, which takes its story inspiration straight from Blazblue: Calamity Trigger.

Tommo Responds to SNK's Termination Claim

A couple days ago, SNK ordered Tommo Inc. to stop distributing and selling their line of NeoGeo X products. In a nutshell, Tommo denied any breach of contract that exists in their agreement with SNK. "Tommo is still taking care of all customer service and product warranties in North America as are our master distribution partners," said Jonathan Wan, Tommo CEO. "We're continuing to sell NGX products." Things could get ugly.

Injustice: Ultimate Edition Coming to PS4, Vita, etc.

WB Games announced today that an "Ultimate Edition" of Injustice: Gods Among Us is headed to Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, Xbox 360 and PC. Ultimate Edition contains all the DLC released since the original launch, including 40 alternate skins & 60 S.T.A.R Labs mission. It'll be priced at $59.99 for PS4, PS3 & 360, $49.99 for PC and $39.99 for Vita, and drops Nov. 12th in America and starting Nov. 29th worldwide.

SNK Demands Neo Geo X Makers to Halt Production

Looks like the life of the Neo Geo X handheld system has been cut short... SNK has terminated its license with Tommo Inc., the manufacturer and distributor of the NGX system. SNK released a notice on their website ordering Tommo to stop "all manufacturing, distribution, marketing & promotion and selling" of their products. This includes the NGX Gold bundle, NGX arcade stick and all game packages...

Namco Trademarks Soul Calibur: Unbreakable Soul

Currently, Namco is developing the single player title, Soul Calibur: Lost Swords for PS3, as well as Soul Calibur II: HD Online for PS3 and 360. Today, Siliconera spotted a trademark for what seems to be yet another new title, called Soul Calibur: Unbreakable Soul. The trademark for SC: Lost Souls was filed in July and officially announced in September of this year. So perhaps in a few months, we'll hear more about SC: Unbreakable Soul. Stay tuned!

GGXX: AC+R Patch Still Coming in 2013, Says Aksys

This isn't really "news"... but it's a slow news week (and some other websites seem to think that this is news)? So, Arc System Works USA announced on Facebook that the long-awaited patch to update GGXX: AC+ to GGXX:AC+R is still coming in 2013 for North America (as they've stated previously). The +R update is currently available for the PS Vita and Japanese PSN versions. Still, no official dates have been given for the PS3 & 360 versions.
