Freeman

BIO:

Freeman, real name unknown, is a mysterious British serial killer. He fights using slashing movements with his hands as if they were claws. He traveled to Second Southtown when he heard of the King of Fighters: Maximum Mayhem tournament, and hoped to kill his opponents. During the tournament, he killed a friend of Kevin Rian. After the tournament, Freeman was hunted down by Second Southtown's Police Department and was shot by a sniper. He fell into a river after being shot, but when the police looked for his body, he was nowhere to be found.

Every fighting game needs a freak or outcast. Freeman is probably one of the coolest freak designs to come out the SNK universe. He almost seems like a "gothed out" Benimaru, but his moves are far different from Benimaru's (and a bit cooler if you ask me). Even though he's a badass, I think SNK could've fleshed him out just a bit more as a design. (Him appearing in other games would've helped). SNK did an excellent job with Freeman's alternate color schemes... they're all really cool (and not completely "random" like in some other 2D fighters). On a side note, I really love the Freeman desktop artwork on the top left of this page... that one is still in my desktop wallpaper rotation. >;)

As badass as he is, I always thought Freeman was kind of a "sleeper" character in Garou. However, Freeman actually inspired 2 "wannabes" in the fighting game universe, though being Carmine from UNIEL & Tsukikage from Xuan Dou Zhi Wang. Perhaps Freeman trained both of them... lol.
