| Minto is Ran
Po's younger adopted sister and, like him, is an orphan who doesn't
understand social morals. However, unlike her brother, she is more cheerful and
has a curious nature. She befriends a boy named Mario, an inventor of sorts who
created her weapon as a present. When Mario leaves to return to his master (Mikoto),
Minto follows him. Minto's
personal dream is to someday leave her home for Ryukyu, promised to be a land
of freedom from her "grandfather" Daruma.
In her ending, she gets her wish and flies away with Ran Po. Minto
fights with a gigantic "cat paw" war hammer that is nearly twice the
size as her body. Despite her weapon's size, she attacks her opponents quickly
though a bit more clumsily than Ran Po.

| In retrospect, Minto looks more like an Arcana Heart character that a Samurai Shodown character..... lul. She's a pretty
ridiculous, pretty much the biggest "joke" character in series history... so I suppose she might appeal
to some players. Not me.
When I think "Samurai Shodown" I definitely
don't think of a design like this... and since I hold the Samurai Shodown
series in such high regard, I can't say I'm a fan of a design like this polluting an (almost)honest samurai game. Still, I can
appreciate some of the comical aspects of her design... the simple fact she's in the game at all. I suppose that was part of the designers' original intentions.
