Black Adam is a
super-villain and sometimes anti-hero originally written as the evil
counterpart to Captain
Marvel, an ancient Egyptian prince who was given incredible powers by the
wizard Shazam and
survived into the modern era. His legacy would eventually expand to include
the Black Marvel Family involving his wife Isis and her brother Osiris
protecting their native land of Kahndaq. He has been a member of the Justice
Society, Injustice Society, Secret Society of Super-Villains, Suicide Squad
and Monster Society of Evil. Black Adam was created by Otto Binder and
C.C. Beck, first appearing in Marvel Family #1.

Even though I never
cared about the character, Black Adam has a
pretty cool in-game persona and fighting style in the Injustice series. I
still can't say
I'm a fan of his visual design in terms of uniqueness or excitement (he's just a
Superman clone after all, in a similar way to Mortal Kombat's ninjas)... but
nonetheless, I'm sure Black Adam is more interesting to DC fans.
I never imagined over a decade after creating this profile for Black Adam, that
I'd have to come back to it and comment about THE ROCK. If ya smeeeeee..... you
know the drill. The Rock put on a good performance and all, but I wasn't blown
away by the movie. And still, after all these years, I don't like Black Adam's
costume. I like the artwork below, though!
