RoboCop debuted in a 1987 American science fiction action film by the same name. Set in a crime-ridden Detroit, Michigan, in the near future, RoboCop stars police officer Alex Murphy who is murdered by a gang of criminals and subsequently revived by the megacorporation Omni Consumer Products as the superhuman cyborg law enforcer RoboCop. The original RoboCop movie

RoboCop is no doubt a nostalgic character for 80's / 90's movie buffs. I remember becoming obsessed with the original (RoboCop movie when I was like 5 years old. I didn't care for the character much after that.) We all know NetherRealm Studios is a huge fan of movies from this era, with their
inclusion of guest characters like
Freddy,
Jason,
Alien,
Predator,
Terminator... in Mortal Kombat. The franchise has practically become Movie Kombat at this point. Crazy times we're livin' in...
As usual, NRS did an impressive job with Robocop's in-game dialogue, interactions, and moveset. The presentation and throwbacks are top notch. Animation-wise, it's always a bit touch and go with Mortal Kombat games. I find it funny that RoboCop's "robotic / stiff" animation actually matches the animation style of modern MK games.
Finally, a character that actually looks natural animating in a Mortal Kombat game. lol. Anyhow, welcome to the FGC RoboCop. Have you met
Robo-Ky and
Robo-Fortune?
