Breakers Collection to Feature Rollback, Crossplay, Team Battle, New Character Colors

Originally announced way back in 2019, Breakers Collection is an upcoming digital compilation containing two classic arcade / NeoGeo fighting games: Breakers (1996) and Breakers Revenge (1998). Developer Qubyte Interactive recently hosted a short livestream to answer fan questions about the upcoming compilation and talk about some of the new features and modes that will be available. While they still have not announced a final release date, Qubyte's Bruno Carvalho and Marcel Bernardi confirmed Breakers Collection will support both Rollback Netcode and Crossplay — although which platforms crossplay will be enabled on is currently unannounced.

During the stream, QUbyte announced Breakers Collection will feature a Team Battle mode, allowing players to take a squad of characters into battle. Furthermore, the game's Gallery mode will include unlockable vintage marketing materials in addition to fan artwork. The compilation also will feature "new color options" for the cast. Below is the full 1-hour stream archive
featuring Qubyte's Bruno Carvalho and Marcel Bernardi.

Pre-orders for a limited physical edition of Breakers Collection are now live at Strictly Limited Games. A closed beta for Breakers Collection took place on Steam earlier this year. The game is releasing on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Stay
tuned on The Fighters Generation for continued coverage.
