Anila
Revealed for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising

 Today
during the Cygames Cup Special 2023, the first new character coming to Granblue
Fantasy Versus: Rising was revealed. A new trailer briefly shows
some in-game footage of Anila — one of the Twelve Divine
Generals. Besides her zodiac sheep theme, Anila is known for having
special moves that resemble some of Terry
Bogard's iconic moves, such as his Power Geyser and Buster Wolf. Watch

Granblue Fantasy:
Versus Rising director Tetsuya Fukuhara also provided some
quick details about Anila's play-style. Anila is described as an
all-rounder who fights using a pole-arm and divine sheep. With a variety
of projectiles, anti-airs, and rush-down attacks, the Queen of Sheep has a
powerful set of tools that can be utilized by players of all skill levels.

In addition, the promotional
images (below) also provide a few new details about new mechanics in GBVS:
Rising such as New Triple Attacks and Dash Attacks.
Just like the original Auto Combo system from GBVS,
Triple Attacks can be performed by pushing an attack button three times in
a row. The third hit, however, can now be changed to an overhead or low
attack depending on the player's input. These can be used to open up a
defensive foe and keep your pressure going!

Secondly, Dash
Attacks are quick attacks that can be performed while a character is
dashing. These can be used to close the gap and keep the pressure on the
opponent with different variations using light, medium, and heavy attacks.
Some characters have dash attacks that can be chained into combos or used
to catch blocking foes off guard.

Cygames confirmed
that the next Granblue
Fantasy Versus: Rising trailer will debut next Saturday, March
4th, 2023.
It's
likely that the trailer will include Anila gameplay footage. Stay tuned
