The
rumors were indeed true... Capcom announced Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite
for Playstation 4, Xbox One and Steam and is set for a "Late
2017" release. In the cinematic teaser trailer, Ryu, Mega Man X, Iron
Man and Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) are seen in action. MVC Infinite
will be a 2 VS 2 fighting game and the gameplay will bring back "Infinity
Stones" from 1995's Marvel Super Heroes. Continue reading for

FIRST DETAILS:
Confirmed modes for MVC Infinite
so far,
include: Story, Arcade, Online, Training & Mission. MVC: Infinite is said to feature a "visually stunning"
and "impressive" cinematic Story Mode. The gameplay will feature
the "Infinity Stones" system which is comparable to Capcom VS SNK
2's groove system. Players can choose one of the Infinity Stones after
selecting their team, and each stone will grant additional strengths and techniques
that each fighter can utilize in a unique way.
Early reports (not 100% confirmed)
say MVC:
Infinite will NOT feature assist attacks of any kind. Characters can now be
"instantly" swapped out, similar to MVC3's team aerial combos,
but this can be done on the ground or mid-combo.
In related news, Capcom also
announced a port Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 for Playstation 4
which will be available later today and includes all DLC. Ultimate MVC3
will hit Xbox One and Steam later on in March 2017.
