Elliot is a British high school student and uses the fighting style Xing Yi Quan. He likes to play the harmonica as well. Eliot was born in Britain and moved to China as a child. Although it's unknown why, Gen Fu chose Eliot as his apprentice and trained the boy in the art of Xing Yi Quan. The boy never understood why he was chosen, but nevertheless devoted himself to his art, determined to prove himself worthy of his master.

When I first saw Elliot in DOA4, I thought he was a pretty uninspired, boring character. Besides a decently animated fighting style, there's not a whole lot behind his design... and he just seems thrown in with the rest of the cast to break up the monotony of big-breasted Asian chicks. I mean come on, Elliot even totally looked like a girl in DOA4... Itagaki and the DOA designers just couldn't get females out of their minds I guess?.

I will say that Elliot's new outfit in DOA: Dimensions and DOA5 is much better than his original attire. His fighting style has also been fleshed out a bit from what I've seen. For comparison's sake, Leo is definitely much better as a design both visually and in terms of fighting style / animation.
