Zack is a DJ
who entered the first tournament to increase his popularity and make a name
for himself. He partly succeeds in his mission, and earns a high enough
ranking in the tournament to earn a decent amount of prize money. His muscular strength
and rare kick boxing style grabs the attention of all that witness his
fighting. He is a self-taught genius of Thai boxing. He re-entered the
"Dead or Alive World Combat Championship" to feed his hunger for public
attention and to win the prize money. Because of his funky personality,

I'm actually surprised this lanky fool is still around. The way he fights? Dude should have gotten knocked out 57 times and retired by now. He teach himself martial arts? Haah. Zack was a fairly interesting design in the early DOA games... but in sequels, he progressively became more irksome and goofy. Besides being an obvious Dennis Rodman wannabe in DOA2, Zack
acquired a few entertaining moves & mannerisms.
However, he also has some of the sloppiest fighting techniques I've ever seen
(especially in DOA5). There's fighting with personality, and then there's fighting like a
total jackass moron. Seriously, anyone who fights like Zack in a real fight would
get their ass handed to them in seconds (which ironically enough is what happened to
Zack in the DOA5 storyline).
Zack just comes off as a weirdo. Weird costumes, weird voice, weird costumes. Did I mention he has weird costumes? He's like a
stand-up comedian who flopped and had to retire... but came back anyway. The direction of Zack's isn't clear at all..... Yeah he's the
token black guy of the series, but for some reason, they thought Zack needed ridiculously
bad outfits to stand out? Meeh. Zack just might win the award for worst outfits of any 3D fighting game
character. Some of his alt. costumes were kinda entertaining visually (like his alien costume)... but his "Ronald McDonald" outfit in DOA5 is a sin to mankind. It shouldn't have happened.
