The young Kamala Khan is a young superhero and protector of Jersey City, better known to her friends as the magnificent Ms. Marvel. She has always been a fan of superheroes since she was a little girl, especially Carol Danvers, the original Ms. Marvel. Kamala was known for her creative writing and video gaming activities based around her her hero idols. Her latent Inhuman lineage was activated by the detonation of the Terrigen Bomb, manifesting as the capacity to stretch and shape her body in almost any way imaginable in addition to a healing factor. Driven by a sense of honor in order to help her community, Khan adopted the Ms. Marvel identity to save those in need, immediately gaining immense recognition as a tender-hearted, inspirational and efficient good doer.

Coming from a family of Pakistani immigrants, Kamala Khan has always been able to integrate divergent backgrounds in her daily life, something that proved to be essential in her career as a vigilante. She is an exceptional team player, being constantly supported by her close friends, especially the witty Bruno Carrelli, but also as part of groups such as the Avengers, the Warriors, and the X-Men. More prominently, she has conceived the Champions, a band of teenage heroes that have reached immense reach as free and inspiring combatants that aim at changing the world.

After experiencing death, Kamala Khan was resurrected through Krakoan Resurrection Protocols, which are exclusive to mutants. This experience had her discovered she carried the X-gene as a rare mutant-Inhuman hybrid. The life of a mutant is marked by enduring hate and fear, throwing Ms. Marvel into all-different challenges. Having become a proud mutant hero, Ms. Marvel publicly endorses mutant rights in her heroic activism, being a relevant player in the superhuman community.
