SNK
Makes a Splash at WrestleMania 41 with Fatal Fury: City of the
Wolves Ring Logo, Ganacci Performance
|
|
SNK's
marketing campaign for Fatal
Fury: City of the Wolves
has been wild, to say the least. In a groundbreaking promotional move, SNK showcased the
Fatal
Fury: City of the Wolves
logo (and SNK logo) prominently displayed center ring at the biggest pro-wrestling
show in the world, WrestleMania 41 (held April 19-20, 2025 in Las Vegas,
Nevada). This marked a significant moment for SNK as the company seeks to expand
its brand visibility in the competitive gaming and entertainment markets.
The striking center placement was a huge surprise for like-minded WWE
and Fighting Game fans who enjoy both forms of entertainment.
After Paul "Triple H" Levesque opened the event Saturday with a
speech, the main show kicked off with a quick performance by none
other than Salvatore
Ganacci, wearing his default blue outfit from the game and rising from beneath the
stage in a Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves booth. After some dancers
joined DJ Ganacci, he proudly held up a WWE-style belt featuring the
game's logo (although the main camera didn't pick up on it too
well), just before Jey Uso entered the ring to compete for the World
Heavyweight Championship against Gunther. Later on in the show, the game's REV Meter also appeared onscreen
several times during some hype-inducing moments and wrestler entrances.

SNK's marketing
campaign has been wild and one of the most aggressive we've seen for a
fighting game in a very long time. One thing's for sure, SNK's strategic
partnership with major entertainment platforms has proven a useful and
memorable one. The collaboration between SNK and WWE is further
underscored by recent developments involving Saudi Arabia's investment in
SNK. In past years, reports indicated that Saudi Arabia acquired a
significant stake in SNK as part of its broader strategy to diversify its
economy and invest in global entertainment ventures. This financial
backing has enabled SNK to explore new marketing avenues and partnerships
within high-profile events like WrestleMania.
|
Leading up to
the surprise WrestleMania appearance, SNK was already flexing their wild
marketing campaign for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves with
live action promotional trailers featuring Ganacci and Cristiano
Ronaldo just last week. Another "random" crossover promotion
for a London boxing match taking place on April 24th, 2025 between Conor
Benn
and
Eubank Jr.
also launched a week ago, which features iShowSpeed and some other
celebrity guests.
|
And that's not
all. Worth mentioning—on the topic of SNK's impressive and aggressive
advertising—the company also secured major advertisement space for
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on motorcoach buses around the world.
"REV IT UP" is everywhere! See some of the actual bus
advertisements below.

Fatal
Fury: City of the Wolves
is now available worldwide,
releasing on April 24, 2025
for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Steam, and EGS.

and more fighting game content.
