Hinako
Announced for KOF XV
|

|
|
 After
revealing a mysterious female character silhouette over the weekend, SNK
officially announced Hinako
Shijo will return in The
King of Fighters
XV
as the game's final Season 2 DLC character. First appearing 23 years ago
in The King of Fighters
2000, Hinako is comically a 5'1" Sumo wrestler and hasn't
appeared in an SNK fighting game since way back in KOF
2003. SNK's announcement comes in the form of a teaser trailer,
showing Hinako's first 3D game appearance as she performs her classic Sumo
warm-up. Watch Hinako's short but sweet KOF XV character reveal

We expect SNK will release a longer gameplay trailer for Hinako in the
near future. We'll also add Hinako's KOF 15 HD character render to
this article as soon as it becomes available. The end
of Hinako's reveal trailer also provides a look at the final KOF XV
Season 2 Roadmap (posted below), confirming Hinako will join the
game this Winter.

[UPDATE]
 SNK
announced that Hinako will join KOF XV on November 14th,
2023 and released her full gameplay reveal trailer.
To recap the most recent KOF XV DLC character releases... Najd
was added to the roster on August 8th, while Duo
Lon joined in on September 12th, along with some gameplay balance
adjustments.
