Today, publisher 3goo and developer Dimps announced The Rumble Fish 2 will be launching on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this Winter. Additionally, the companies confirmed the first-ever home version of The Rumble Fish 2 will feature Rollback Netcode, Widescreen Support (16:9), and an all-new Practice Mode featuring AI and gauge customization. As previously reported, the home port's Gallery mode will contain unlockable character artwork, music tracks, behind-the- scenes production materials, and more.

3goo president Nicolas Di Costanzo shared some new words and details about the upcoming home port of The Rumble Fish 2 in a recent press release.
The Rumble Fish 2 has been a popular game in Japanese arcades for many years, and tournaments are still occasionally organized by the community. Its longevity speaks to the great work that the developer Dimps' has done with the game, thanks to their two decades of experience in fighting game design," he continued.

"The Dimps team created extended battle systems and offered players an infinite number of strategies, which is something the community absolutely loves. Here at 3goo, our mission was to expand on this popular title by bringing it to console platforms and introduce great features the game has to offer to console players, such as online PvP mode and a place to properly learn combos and greatly look forward to its release. We also hope that fans of the franchise will be excited about a few more surprise announcements we will have before the release, so stay tuned!"

3goo and Dimps also shared several brand new screenshots of The Rumble Fish 2 running in beautiful 16:9 widescreen mode, which is said to modernize and highlight the game's innovative graphics engine and unique "multi-joint" character sprites. Following the original release of The Rumble Fish and The Rumble Fish 2, Dimps went on to develop blockbuster fighting games with Capcom, including: Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter X Tekken, and Street Fighter V. Dimps also had a hand in the development of Bandai Namco's SoulCalibur 6.
