SFV Art Director Shares Early Character Concepts
|
|
Over the past several months,
Street Fighter V's Art Director, Takayuki Nakayama, has been sharing some some very rare and/or never-before-seen character concept sketches and illustrations. Many of the artworks have been captured (by camera) from "top secret" Capcom design sketchbooks, with pages drawn by
legendary artists such as Bengus, Akiman, and Kinu Nishimura. First up, take a look at some early Street Fighter V designs of Juri Han, Charlie Nash, Alex, and Ed recently posted by
@takaNakayama. Click any of the images below to open them in a new window on Twitter for a closer look.
Director Nakayama also recently posted a wide variety of early and historic character sketches from the iconic
Street Fighter 2 era. Many of these sketches would be finalized as official promo artwork and character illustrations... while others would be rejected or unused. Scroll down for a small sampling of SF2-related art recently brought to light by the Capcom director.
