Originally the
leader of an Ikaruga unit, Tager suffered a mortal wound during the Ikaruga
Civil War and was forced to withdraw. He was revived as an enormous cyborg by
Kokonoe, whom he pledged loyalty to afterward. After his revival, he bears a
similar resemblance to a demon, which resulted in him dubbed as the "Red
Devil of Sector Seven". He is feared by many, but in truth he is very calm
and calculated, only engaging in violence when necessary. He has resumed his
duties since his revival as a cyborg and is currently not only pursuing Hakumen,
but also
Ragna as a secondary target.

The "big guy" for the BlazBlue series did not disappoint... what a massive 2D sprite. I love it. Tager's
proportions remind me of Potemkin,
but overall I like Iron Tager much better as a character design. He's got cool hair, cool armor, a cool personality,
and isn't your typical "dumb" big-guy that we've seen many times before. Tager wears glasses; therefore he is intelligent. ^_^ Actually he is though, which is quickly apparent in the BlazBlue storyline.
Tager also has a brutal moveset and very innovative fighting style - using magnetism
to draw his enemies closer to him. As a powerhouse character who has some
devastating grabs, that's obviously an insanely powerful ability to have. After seeing Tager, I think
Zangief is gonna have a chat with
Magneto to see if he can borrow some of them magnets. In case you didn't know, the two kept contact after X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, as Magneto decided Zangief might make a good henchmen for the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (but he later decided he didn't have a use for him since Gief has no real mutant
ability). Well, that was fun. Thanks for reading. :)
