I played all of original Ninja Gaiden games back in the late 80's / early 90's, though I wouldn't call myself a big fan of the series today. I didn't vibe with the new "mainstream" direction the series went in. Rachel is actually a pretty good example of what I'm talking about - because when I think "Ninja"... I typically don't think "blatantly over-sexualized blonde woman with huge boobs". -__-

Rachel looks out of place in NG... but, as luck would have it, she fits right in with DOA. lol.  Visually, Rachel has one of the sluttiest (and tackiest) outfits I've ever seen a "ninja" wear. She looks like a an online advertisement girl for a cheaply made 3D flash or PC game. So her look is meh... but what about her fighting style? Her moveset is weird mix of powerful strikes, wrestling, and.... Ninjitsu-ish moves. She's a "big" girl and hits hard, which makes sense, but there's not much exciting about her 62 moves. She doesn't have many throws, and she has Sarah Bryant's knee stomp move from VF2. (Reeeally???) She looks enough like Sarah as is. In closing, her "stripper walk" might be one of her best animations. Sorry, but if you really like Rachel as a design, you are very "easily entertained"... and you probably enjoy strip clubs.
