The King of Fighters 2000 Getting Physical PS4 Edition by Limited Run Games

 Another fan-favorite KOF installment is getting a limited physical PlayStation 4 edition this year. Limited Run Games announced a
beautiful PS4 boxed version of
The King of Fighters 2000, SNK's first entry of the KOF series from this millennium. KOF2000 is distinguished by its exciting Striker system, with two unique Striker (assist) characters available for each playable fighter in the game. Pre-orders for this exclusive PS4 physical
edition begin this Friday, January 29th, 2021 (10am and 6pm ET). Take a look at some official promo images, below!

In addition to the standard edition (above) which features a cool Reversible Cover, Limited Run Games is also offering a Limited Collector's Edition containing a Custom Shockbox, Commemorative (non-functional) KOF2000 NEOGEO Cartridge, 4 Artwork Cards with Shinkiro illustrations, and a Reversible 18" x 24" poster.

A direct sequel to Garou: Mark of the Wolves was in development by SNK in the early 2000's, but the project was canceled. Many years later, unfinished 2D character sprites from MOTW 2 surfaced, unveiling several new characters who were planned for the sequel. Two artists
from Lizardcube Games (Streets of Rage 4, Wonderboy) created a mockup for MOTW2.
