Rollback Netcode Coming to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on Steam and PlayStation 4

Back in December, Atlus announced that the PS3-era anime fighting game classic, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, will be getting a re-release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. The producer of P4AU, Kazuhisa Wada, confirmed in a new video (below) that Rollback Netcode implementation will be added to the upcoming ports (Steam and PS4, specifically) this Summer. In addition to Wada-san's message, Atlus also released a "New Challengers" video highlighting the newcomers in Persona 4 Arena: Ultimax.

Originally released in 2014 on PS3 and Xbox 360, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was the sequel to Persona 4 Arena, adding several new characters, modes, and updating the story. Fans of P4U can look forward to picking up the game on modern platforms when it drops on March 17th, 2022 for $29.99.

This re-release will include all DLC content and characters released for the game post-launch, including alternate color packs, announcer voiceovers, music collection, etc. Furthermore, the Japan announce trailer (below) confirms the re-release will be updated with the Japan arcade version 2.50 patch for the first time on console.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is now available for pre-order on Steam for $29.99. The new ports will be released on March 17th, 2022.
