	SoulCalibur 6, TEKKEN 7 Producer Motohiro Okubo Leaves Bandai Namco After 25-Year Career

  

SoulCalibur 6 and TEKKEN 7 producer Motohiro Okubo announced he is leaving Bandai Namco after 25 years working with the company. On Twitter, Okubo announced that August 31st, 2021 was officially his last day at Bandai Namco and thanked fans for supporting the many games he has worked on. Okubo said he will still be working in the gaming industry and will start at a new Shibuya-based company in the coming weeks. It's unconfirmed at this time which game development studio he'll be moving to. After working on TEKKEN 7 as a producer, Okubo joined the Project Soul team. SoulCalibur VI was the first game in the series with Okubo as the producer. In addition to SC6, and TEKKEN 7, Okubo also worked on the recent PAC-MAN 99 (2021).
