BIO:

Angel is an agent of a secret organization known as NESTS. She is assigned to keep an eye on K9999, whose purpose is to hunt down traitorous experiments that had left NESTS. They set off to find K' and other traitors of the organization. Near the end of the KOF 2001 tournament, it is revealed that both Angel and K9999 are on a mission to kill Kula and her guardians.

Some of her moves and mannerisms pay homage to entertainer Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Most notably, her "Winds Fairground", "Blue Monday Parade" and "Survivor's Banquet" mimic his "Laying the Smacketh Down", "Rock Bottom" and "People's Elbow" respectively. Her name is properly pronounced as "Ahn-hehl" as per the Spanish pronunciation of the word.

Angel instantly brought a new level of excitement to KOF in 2001. Her outfit and appearance certainly isn't short on sexy. To add to her visual appeal and epic curves... she's a master of cool poses, making her a perfect fit for the series. Angel's entertaining facial expressions and mannerisms make her a "different" type of fighting game character, and one who shows a ton of personality (even in 2D sprite form). On that note, Angel's 2D sprite is easily one one the all-time best from the "old style" of KOF games. She's a great example of the evolution of 2D KOF. On top of that, Angel packs a dynamic and cool 2D fighting style. She's got flashy high kicks, but can also "layeth the smacketh down" with her badass pro-wrestling moves! C'mon... she does the freakin' PEOPLE'S ELBOW... If ya smell what Angel's cookin'. Angel is a refreshingly different character in a lot of ways... and probably one of the most interesting (yet least talked about) KOF females since her debut. Yeah, she's heavily sexualized in some ways, but it's not the only aspect of her design. Why Angel didn't make the crossover to DOA6 (and Kula did) is something I will never understand.
