BIO:

Faust (originally called Dr. Baldhead) was once a good man and a great surgeon; one of the best in the world. After committing a simple mistake that cost a young female patient her life, his mind broke and he went on a murderous rampage. He was captured and sent to a dimensional prison after taking the lives of scores of innocent people using the most indescribable of means.

(GGX story) The previous tournament gave him a second lease on life, and now he has returned to his former self. Wishing to punish himself for his past, Faust resolved to take his own life. Not only would this act finally atone for his sins, but he realized it was the only way he would be able to escape the painful feelings that haunted him day and night. But just as he was about to end it all, Faust learned that the young girl's death so long ago was no accident, but rather a cold-blooded murder carried out by a third party. What am I supposed to say about Faust? He's got a paper bag over his head and he's fighting with an oversized scalpel. Welcome to Guilty Gear. Arc System Works can definitely do "cool" characters... and they can do "insane" with just as much finesse. Faust only got crazier and crazier with each sequel. He did his job well as the original "freak" archetype of Guilty Gear / GGX series, even as many other freaks joined the series. Still, Faust is probably still the freakiest of them all. He's not going to be everyone's cup of tea... but I like what he brings to the series. While he was fun to watch in GGXX, his revamped Xrd design and new animations took the character up a notch. He's become one of the highlight designs of the series and it's easy to see why he's a staple. He's memorable! Finally, his redesign in -STRIVE- is a perfect blend of returning craziness mixed with a new level of creepy, minus some of the silliness from his original appearances. Yeah, Faust's -STRIVE- design is really amazing.  On a side note, pro-level Faust players are really fun to watch! :D
