Impression: |
These last few years have been
a very exciting time for Capcom fighting game fans... whether you're an old school arcade
player for decades or you're relatively new to competitive / Capcom fighting games. Capcom
Fighting Collection 2 is a powerhouse "dream" compilation that
long-time 2D fighting fans have been waiting a very long time for. The star of
the show here is no doubt Capcom Vs. SNK 2 with rollback netcode, a
timeless fan-favorite that could've been re-released on its own. The addition of SFA3:
UPPER was also a nice surprise, although I'm disappointed it won't have the
additional characters from the PSP version: SFA3
MAX.
Even more impressive is Capcom finally bringing some of their underrated 3D fighting
games into this awesome compilation! Project Justice, Power Stone 1
and 2, and Plasma Sword are all worth checking out. The inclusion of both 2D and 3D fighting
games in single package has never been done before and is a great sign of things
to come! Capcom Fighting Collection 2 packs some of the best fighting
games ever made. Period. Hard stop (or whatever the kids say these days).
Definitely be a must-buy for most of the community. I'm loving what Capcom has
been doing lately.
Amazing compilations like this make me beyond glad that I never quit playing
Capcom games, trying to "get good" for the last 30+ years. I'll be
working on some new video content for Capcom games in 2025 so please stay tuned.
Keep it here on The Fighters Generation for continued coverage and a full
review of Capcom Fighting Collection 2 when it releases in 2025!
