	UDON Street Fighter 6 Prequel Comic

  

UDON Entertainment recently announced a Street Fighter 6 prequel comic — a weekly 48-page, 4-issue mini-series that leads straight into the game's highly-anticipated June 2nd release date. UDON has revealed several of Issue #1's various covers, which include new art by Shinkiro, Bengus, Chisato Mita, Chamba Cruz, Jo Chen, and Reiq. Some of the greatest talent in Street Fighter's vibrant illustration history will be providing interior art for the comic, with Capcom Japan artists Bengus and Chisato Mita working on the first and last issues. UDON's own Genzoman, Hanzo, and Panzer will be illustrating issues 0, 2, and 3... as well as a variety of variant covers.      From UDON Entertainment: "This is the first time that we're doing this kind of comic book series that's closely tied to the story of the main game," says Street Fighter 6 game director Takayuki Nakayama. "We're working very closely with our partners at UDON. We're providing the script and the storyline of what to expect before the events of Street Fighter 6..." The storyline will be written by Capcom and UDON's Matt Moylan.        The first issue of the comic is expected to ship May 2023. The standard #1 issue featuring cover art by either Shinkiro or Chamba is priced at $5.99. The UDON store is also offering an online exclusive "Kimberly Arcade Bikini" cover (pictured above) priced at $20-$50, as well as an Incentive Foil Chun-Li cover (also above) for $25.
