TEKKEN
7 Original and Definitive Editions Announced
|
|
Bandai
Namco announced two new editions of TEKKEN
7 today,
including a "Definitive Edition" containing ALL of the game's
DLC characters and post-launch content. The "Originals Edition"
features 12 of the
game's DLC characters (only omitting 3rd party guest characters), and
includes the Season
3 Frame Data feature DLC. The Definitive Edition includes All DLC
characters and everything included in Season Passes 1-4, including
the Frame Data Display and Tekken Bowl mode. Note this is a different
package from the Legendary
Edition released in Europe on Nov. 12th, 2021. Bandai Namco
also released a trailer (below) for the announcement showing a visual chart
of the
content in both versions.
Both
editions are Digital only (at this time) and available for PlayStation 4,
Steam, and Xbox one. The Originals Edition is priced at $90
while the Definitive Edition is $110.
[UPDATE]
In related news, Bandai Namco announced today that TEKKEN 7 has
surpassed 8 million copies of sold worldwide, breaking their previous record of 7 million
announced back in April of this year.
Also worth noting is that the announcement of this "Definitive
Edition" likely confirms Bandai Namco has concluded DLC content for TEKKEN
7 — adding fuel to the rumor
that Bandai Namco is currently spending their efforts working on the next
game in the series, rumored to be TEKKEN 8.
Stay tuned on Fighters Generation for upcoming TEKKEN
7 news and content.
