8 Stream Confirms Iconic Costumes, In-Game Shop, Eddy Gordo on Character

Namco's latest TEKKEN Talk livestream featuring Michael Murray, Katsuhiro
Harada and Kohei Ikeda took place earlier today. The stream
revealed upcoming post-release content for TEKKEN
8
including "iconic" legacy costumes for Jin
Kazama, Jun Kazama, Kazuya
Mishima, and Ling
Xiaoyu soon to be available in TEKKEN 8's new TEKKEN Shop.
Once available, these legacy costumes will cost 400 Tekken coins (or $4.00 USD) each.
During the stream, the development team also previewed Eddy
Gordo in TEKKEN 8, showing new gameplay along with Eddy's character model on the
character select screen as well as the game's main menu — with an
upcoming option to replace Kazuya. The development team hinted that this
will become a feature extended to all future DLC characters and
(potentially) all current playable characters in TEKKEN 8.
On Twitter,
Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that each future TEKKEN 8 DLC
character will come with their own
Story Mode "expansion pack",
including Eddy Gordo. These story mode expansions will become
available
this
Summer
(after the
month of May),
to show how
each character was
involved in
the
game's main
story mode, "The Dark Awakens". Additionally, Harada confirmed
that these story expansions can be enjoyed for free without having to
purchase the DLC characters!
Eddy Gordo's release date hasn't been finalized yet, but Bandai Namco said
it will be announced as soon as they confirm it. Along with the addition
of the TEKKEN Shop featuring new character and avatar customization items,
balance updates and the adjustment of behavior / properties of moves for
some characters will also be applied in future updates. Below is the full

Gordo gameplay footage confirms an updated idle stance animation for the
returning TEKKEN 3
veteran. Of course, several of Eddy's brand new moves are also shown
briefly.
