XV Season 2, Shingo Coming January 2023

 On
Wednesday night before Thanksgiving here in the U.S., SNK announced The
King of Fighters XV
will kick off Season 2 with new characters starting in January
2023. SNK's short teaser trailer and promotional image announcing this
news confirms Shingo
Yabuki will join the game in January 2023. Following the return
on Shingo, in Spring 2023, Kim
Kaphwan will join the game's roster. Additionally, SNK noted that the
upcoming Season 2 update will contain "character refinements"
for every
current playable character in KOF XV.

SNK's trailer also
confirms The King of Fighters XV's Crossplay open beta
test will begin in Spring 2023. More details on that coming
soon. The trailer also reaffirms additional DLC characters beyond Shingo
and Kim will join the game in 2023. Have a closer look at Shingo's

Additionally,
SNK's announcement confirmed Samurai
Shodown will have its own open beta
test for Rollback
Netcode on Steam, also taking place January 2023. SNK will be implementing Rollback
for Samurai Shodown
on the following platforms — Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox
One, and Epic Games Store.

Back in
October, Team Samurai
joined The King of Fighters XV as the final Season 1 Team DLC.
Following the arrival of Shingo Yabuki and Kim Kaphwan, at least 5
additional characters will join the KOF XV roster, although SNK
hasn't yet specified when the additional DLC characters will be released
in 2023.
