Street Fighter 6 Training Mode Features Visual Frame Data and Practice Scenarios

During Capcom's Street Fighter 6 Special Program live stream at TGS '22 today, Capcom demonstrated live gameplay featuring newly announced veterans returning to the series: Ken, Blanka, Dhalsim, and E. Honda. Additionally, the developers previewed some Training mode and options, and revealed a "Visual Frame Data" option. This innovative feature shows the respective frame data numbers alongside a visual guide to assist players in learning the game's deeper aspects. In related TGS '22 news, Capcom confirmed Street Fighter 6 will launch with 18 characters and dropped the World Tour intro movie during today's presentation.

The full archive of Capcom's TGS '22 Special Program stream is now available on YouTube. Footage of Training mode begins around the 24:30 timestamp in the video.

From the Capcom on Twitter: "Frame data in Training Mode has been improved with a new set of bars in the middle of the screen. See the startup, total, and recovery frames for an individual move or an entire combo all at once. This also includes the opponent's recovery." Training mode also includes preset scenarios that players can practice. These scenarios are based on common situations in matches, such as: anti-air defense, whiff punishes, parrying, reactions, or defense against the new Drive Impact mechanic.

Capcom followed up the Training mode demonstration with additional footage of Street Fighter 6's Avatar Creator and World Tour mode featuring Luke and a new character players will encounter in the mode named Bosch. Stay tuned on Fighters Generation for more Street Fighter 6 news and updates from TGS '22.
