Street Fighter 6
Closed Beta Set for Oct. 7-10
     |
    | |

    | At
      Tokyo Game Show '22, Capcom
announced a Closed Beta Test for Street Fighter 6
which takes place October 7th - 10th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series
      X|S,
and Steam — featuring crossplay between all platforms! The beta will
have 8 playable characters (including Ken), online matches, tournaments, Training,
Extreme Battle, and more. You can apply
here to enter the closed beta via Capcom's official site. Only those
with a Capcom ID can enter, so you'll have to create an account if you
      don't already have one.

    |  In addition to normal
online matches, the closed beta will even let users try out Extreme
Battle, shown briefly in the TGS '22 reveal
trailer. Extreme Battle offers a less serious "party mode"
type experience with in-game gimmicks like a Tekken Ball-esque mode,
fighting with a bull that randomly enters the battle, and even a mode
where fighters encounter exploding enemies from the Mega
Man series. On Friday, Capcom shared a new trailer for Extreme
      Battle mode (below).

  Also,
let's take a moment to fully appreciate the glow up! This Luke promo
artwork for the closed beta test is pretty sweet.
 |

    |   There's
      a reason they chose Luke
for this artwork, too, because Luke plays a major role in SF6's single-player
mode and introduction. (In World Tour, Luke will be your coach as you sign
up for the basic training course.) It's possible the basic training course
will be available in the beta, in some form, although this has not been
confirmed. As explained in the latest details about Battle
Hub, players will encounter many Street Fighter legends to help
them along their way and even have their avatars learn their techniques.

 Capcom's official
site for Street Fighter 6 was also updated with the
latest info on the game's modes, character storylines and more content for
all newly announced characters, so head on over there
and check it out. Stay tuned on Fighters Gen
for more TGS '22 news and further updates!
