Netflix TEKKEN: Bloodline Anime Release Date Trailer

A new action-packed trailer for the upcoming TEKKEN: Bloodline anime series premiered this evening and confirmed the official release date! TEKKEN: Bloodline will be streaming on Netflix beginning August 18th, 2022. First announced back in March of this year, TEKKEN: Bloodline will follow Jin Kazama and several other characters during the TEKKEN 3 era of the series (and several years before the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3 began). Without spoiling anything, the two-and-a-half minute trailer packs much more action than the last one, highlighting some hard-hitting moments from the anime's fight scenes—which compellingly match the 3D nature and overall style of TEKKEN's in-game animation. Enjoy watching the official release date trailer from Netflix and continue scrolling down for some screenshots.

Unlike the original announce trailer released back in March, today's new trailer debuts the first fluid footage of "adult" Jin
Kazama wearing his famed flame pantsas most fans remember him from his debut in TEKKEN 3. As previously reported, the anime also includes fan-favorite characters such as Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima, Jun Kazama, King, Paul Phoenix, Ogre, Leroy Smith and others, fleshing out their intentions and story during this time period, as well.

Today's new trailer also confirms several match-ups / specific fight scenes we'll be seeing in the anime series, including King versus Paul Phoenix and Jin Kazama going up against Leroy Smith (yeah, all during TEKKEN 3's timeline)! Series creator Katsuhiro Harada previously mentioned some of the official TEKKEN series lore has "only been written down" until now, meaning these story details will be portrayed for the first time ever in the upcoming 2022 Netflix series. Below are some stills from the aforementioned fight scenes!

In the screenshot above, you can see today's new trailer also confirmed appearances by Hwoarang, Nina Williams, Ling Xiaoyu, and Julia Chang — curiously wearing her TEKKEN 7 outfit. While the Netflix anime will primarily revolve around Jin Kazama and the Mishima family, it's always great seeing more of the cast represented and how they incorporate into Jin's storyline. Hopefully, future seasons will bring even more fan-favorite characters into the fray.

One month from today, TEKKEN: Bloodline will be streaming exclusively on Netflix starting August 18th. Thanks for reading and stay tuned on The Fighters Generation for continued coverage.
