Capcom Launches 40th Anniversary "Capcom Town" Site

Feel old yet? Many of us grew up with Capcom games, so it's okay if the answer happens to be yes... This past Sunday, June 11th, 2023 marked Capcom's 40th year in operation. To help celebrate the monumental year, this week Capcom launched a new website called Capcom Town — what they've described as "the ultimate digital tourist destination" featuring a variety of colorful content including: music, playable classic games, art galleries, and more. Capcom Town features a browsable map featuring recognizable characters and locations (buildings) throughout. Buildings on the map marked with a location icon can be opened to view specific content or play games.

As reported earlier, Capcom Town hosts a variety of interesting and historical content, including a "Virtual Museum" with original artwork and development documents for many classic (and newer) titles. Capcom Town also features a "game corner" where visitors can play classic games including Mega Man and Street Fighter titles.

Take a closer look at the Capcom Town map below. Some of the iconic Capcom series represented on the map besides Street Fighter include: Final Fight, Rival Schools, Darkstalkers, Cyberbots, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Ace Attorney, Okami, Son Son, Mega Man, and even Sengoku Basara.

Head over to the official
Capcom Town website and check out everything it has to offer for Capcom fans! The website even includes some "hidden" locations and characters to discover. Thanks for reading! Keep it here on The Fighters Generation for updates and continued coverage.
