Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Super Meter Voice Sampled from 1966 Live Action Batman Series

Throughout the decades, fighting game fans and historians have discovered the original source material for iconic character designs, illustrations, and even audio. The latest discovery, pointed out by Fairly Frequent FG Facts on Twitter, reveals the Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike sound clip (voice), used when one meter of the super gauge filled, is in fact sampled from the 1966 live action Batman series starring Adam West. The voice saying "Let's Go" is believed to be Adam West himself. Yes, we've been listening to the original voice of Batman while playing SFIII: 3rd Strike for all these years and never knew it!

On a related note... a few years back, someone also discovered the source material behind one of Elena's victory animations in the Street Fighter III series. "Rotoscoping" is an animation technique that animators use to trace over motion picture footage, frame by frame. As you can see in the tweet by @aurich below, the dancing woman in this 80's David Lee Roth video was the source for the rotoscoping used for Elena in SFIII: 3rd Strike.
