2017
|
|
A continuation of the rumor
that began in 2013 with SNK's job
postings for new 3D titles, some independent sources are claiming that SNK
is developing a new Samurai Shodown, planned for release in 2017. The
reboot is said to "bring the series back to its roots," and will use
3D graphics with 2D gameplay, similar to KOF XIV. While it's not 100%
confirmed, I know many veteran fighting game fans that would love to see a brand
new 2D Samurai Shodown title. (Source:

Happy 25th Anniversary
to SF2: The World Warrior
|

It's been 25 years since
Street Fighter 2 revolutionized competitive video gaming in arcades around

they first played SF2, and perhaps how it changed their gaming experience
forever. The exact SF2 release date is disputable, but "early
February 1991" is when SF2: The World Warrior hit North America and
the world. To celebrate, check out TFG's newly created SF2
