[UPDATE

All of the movesets
look intriguing... but
Deadpool's
moveset is simply "a love letter to fighting games" with
countless godlike references. We don't deserve Arc System Works.
According to the official storyline, Deadpool found a strategy guide where
he learned a plethora of techniques from other fighting game characters.
He has one of the largest movelists in the game and is one of the most intricate characters to learn, which makes
sense!
Deadpool's guide reveals the sheer multitude of brilliant and hilarious
"breaking-the-fourth-wall" moves and animation references, specifically aimed to please
the fighting game community by going deep into the genre's history. These
include but are not limited to: Kazuya's
Electric Wind God Fist (EWGF) from TEKKEN,
Sol's anti-air and
air dist, Sawada's infamous seppuku special, Hotaru's
infamous super move from Garou:
MOTW, Yoshimitsu's
double suicide stab and health regeneration sitting stance, Scorpion's
"Get Over Here!" / Fatality sequence, Johnny
Cage's nut punch, General's
victory pose from Kaiser
Knuckle, "Dream" super move sequence inspired by Skullomania
/ Shadowgeist
which has even more references including Raiden's
superman attack, Sofia's
spinning kick from Battle
Arena Toshinden, and even a shoutout to Ryo
from Art of Fighting.
We're not done yet... Cell's
intro and Vegeta's
assist from DBFZ, Akira's shoulder
attack, May's
dolphin attack + Falcon Punch version, Galford's
"Hey Poppie!" assist, Jack-O's
crouching pose, Shiki's Anti-Air, Yashiro's
light kick low crush from KOF
'97, a Guilty
Gear Roman Cancel, two JoJo
references, many references to Street
Fighter... and many more. Indeed, Deadpool has the
most references of any
fighting game character. YOU WIN, DEADPOOL. YOU WIN. WE ALL WIN. Without further ado, enjoy
the rest of the guides.
Arc System Works really cooked with
Deadpool. It's official, Deadpool has the most references of any fighting
game character. They did it... they really did it. Deadpool
in Tōkon
is a
walking FGC meme. What else needs to be said besides "this game looks
amazing" and "I can't wait to learn this game". We are very
excited for the future of Marvel
Tōkon
and the
fighting game community. Stay tuned for moreMarvel
