DNF Duel 2nd Open Beta Announced for April

Today, Nexon and Arc System Works announced the second open beta test for Dungeon Fighter Duel will take place on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 this Friday. The second public beta will run from April 1st through April 4th, 2022. New character Ghostblade will also be playable for the first time during the upcoming beta.

SFV: Champion Edition Capcom Pro Tour 2022 Costumes, Ring of Arcade Stage Revealed

Even though Street Fighter 6 was officially announced by Capcom, the company is still revealing an impressive amount of new content and updates for SFV: Champion Edition. The Capcom Pro Tour 2022 DLC trailer reveals new costumes, colors, and the new "Ring of Arcade" stage are coming to SFV on March 29th, 2022.

Omega Rugal Announced for KOF XV as Free DLC

During today's Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable stream, SNK announced an iconic boss from KOF series history will be joining The King of Fighters XV next month. Omega Rugal will be added to KOF XV's roster as FREE DLC on April 14th, 2022. In addition to the normal selectable version of Omega Rugal, SNK said they will be adding a special "Boss Challenge Mode" offering players an even more difficult battle with Rugal.

Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown TEKKEN 7 Collaboration

No, it's not a mod... it's REAL! Announced this weekend during the Virtua Fighter Challenge Cup Season 0 Finals, Sega's Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown is getting a costume and content collaboration with Bandai Namco's TEKKEN 7. Shown in the announce trailer is Akira Yuki with a Kazuya Mishima skin, and Lau Chan with a Heihachi Mishima skin.

Nexon released the gameplay reveal trailer for Ghostblade, the 11th playable character officially confirmed for Dungeon Fighter Duel. The 38-second trailer previews Ghostblade's playstyle, special moves, cinematics, and super move offering the most detailed look at the character since his announcement last year.

SFV: Champion Edition March Update Adds Battle Balance, Cel-Shading / Pixel Filters, Tracksuit Colors, CAP-JAMS Remixes

Capcom announced a "Definitive" FREE update for SFV will launch March 29th, 2022. Firstly, it will add a new battle balance update, enabling new combo possibilities some demonstrated in the new trailer. Secondly, new graphical filters including "Cel-Shading" and "Pixel" will be added to options. New color options for the tracksuit costume will also be added, in addition to all new CAP-JAMS Remixed tracks.

Earlier this week, Netmarble revealed all six Street Fighter V: Champion Edition characters who will be appearing as playable guest characters in The King of Fighters: All Star later this month. Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable "Three" Announced for March 21st, Guest List

Netmarble confirmed the final three Street Fighter icons coming to The King of Fighters: All Star in its latest collaboration event. Based on their Street Fighter V: Champion Edition appearances, Akuma, M. Bison, and Luke will be joining Ryu, Chun-Li, and "Nostalgia" (SFA) Chun-Li as playable characters. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cowabunga Collection Coming to Consoles & PC in 2022, Includes 13 Classic Games

It was announced during Sony's State of Play 2022 showcase that Nickelodeon, Digital Eclipse, and Konami are teaming up to release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection a compilation of 13 classic TMNT beat-em-up titles and fighting games released in arcades and consoles back in the 90's.

Guilty Gear -STRIVE- Original Soundtrack Releasing May 2022, Tower Records Collaboration / Pop-up Shop

Arc System Works announced a physical edition of Guilty Gear STRIVE's soundtrack, titled Necessary Discrepancy, will be releasing in May 2022. Interestingly, the OST includes a theme song for the game's fifth and final Season 1 DLC character (who has yet to be announced). A Look Back at Capcom's Early Mobile Phone Games, Rare Kinu Nishimura Promotional Artwork

In the early 2000's, before the widespread existence of smartphones that most people are addicted to these days, Capcom released a variety of charming Japan-exclusive mobile games for Java-enabled cellular phones known as J-Phone / Vodaphone. These "mini games" featured characters from Street Fighter, Mega Man, Resident Evil, Final Fight, Ghosts 'N Goblins, and even Darkstalkers.

Rollback Netcode Coming to Persona 4 Arena: Ultimax on Steam and PlayStation 4

Back in December, Atlus announced that the PS3-era anime fighting game classic, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, will be getting a re-release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. The producer of P4AU, Kazuhisa Wada, confirmed in a new video that Rollback Netcode implementation will be added to the upcoming ports this Summer.

KOF: All-Star Street Fighter Trailer Hints at Akuma's Arrival

Netmarble dropped the official reveal trailer for The King of Fighters: All-Star Street Fighter, the mobile game's latest crossover. Set on a city street, the 30-second trailer pays homage to the introduction of Street Fighter II: World Warrior, the camera panning down the side of a skyscraper. After a quick battle between Kyo Kusanagi and Ryu, the end of the trailer hints that Akuma is the next playable character.

Special Team Endings have returned in The King of Fighters 15! While the game's main story puts the focus on several main characters and teams, players can unlock secret endings by completing Story mode with specific characters. Capcom Cup 2022 Canceled Amid Omicron Concerns

Similar to last year, 2022 will host a mix of both offline and online fighting game events with COVID-19 and its Omicron variant still a major concern for travel, and especially international travel. EVO Moment #37 Recreated as Justin Wong's Chun-Li Gets Parried by Random Ken Player Online

EVO Moment #37 is undoubtedly one of the most famous moments in competitive fighting game history. At EVO 2004, Daigo "The Beast" Umehara parried all 15 hits of Justin Wong's Chun-Li during her Lightning Kicks Super Art in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike to win the set. Russian Stuntman Vladislav Litvinenko Recreates Feng Wei's TEKKEN 7 Intro and Win Poses

To kick off the new year, we have a new video from Russian martial artist and stuntman, Vladislav Litvinenko (AKA "Viel"), who you might remember recreated an awesome variety of TEKKEN 7 and TEKKEN 3 character animations and portions of their movesets back in 2021. Vlad's latest performance not only mimics the epic choreography of Feng Wei's powerful Chinese Kenpo, but also recreates the camera angles used in TEKKEN 7.
