Street Fighter V: Champion Edition

At the CPT 2019 NA Regional Finals, Capcom announced Street Fighter V: Champion Edition and revealed the almighty Gill as the first new character of Season 4. Launching February 14th, 2020, SFV: Champion Edition will retail as a new package for $29.99 USD. The title will contain all SFV content to date, including 34 stages, 200+ costumes, 40 characters, and new V-Skills for all returning characters. SFV: CE will also be available for purchase as a digital upgrade to SFV: Arcade Edition for $24.99.

RESURRECTION! ...Gill finally appears in the SFV timeline.

Players will now have to option to choose a "V-Skill 2" for every character in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. Each character's new V-Skill will change up their playstyles considerably when selected. To name a few V-Skill 2's: Urien now has his "Indignant Thunder" which resembles his super move projectile from SFIII: 2nd Impact / 3rd Strike. Birdie's V-Skill 2 is called "Chewing Time" which has him using bubble gum to blow a giant bubble at his opponents.

Happy Holidays... SFV: Champion Edition will offer you 6,000 costumes. lol

From Capcom: "Rule the ring with Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, the most robust version of the acclaimed fighting game! This new version includes all content (excluding Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes and Capcom Pro Tour DLC) from both the original release and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. Champion Edition adds each character, stage and other content that released after Arcade Edition and with the release of this new version. In total: 40 characters, 34 stages, over 200 costumes Ė all action-packed into one knockout edition! READY? FIGHT!"

Happy Holidays... SFV: CE will give you 6,000 costumes per character. Jk lol

First Impression: Another SFV update? It's no surprise. Whether you're a fan or not of Capcom's Street Fighter V, you have to admit they've put solid effort into keeping their iconic fighting franchise fresh and new. Champion Edition is likely to be the final and difinitive update to  Street Fighter V experience.

Most fighting game players should know by now whether or not SFV floats their boat. If you ask me, SFV is a pretty solid game and I still like it better than SF4 overall. At $30, you can jump into SFV and enjoy all of the content to date. Not a bad deal. Stay tuned for TFG's full review sometime in 2020.
